Oh you guys make me want a puppy now. OH has made me promise, NO MORE TOYS for when we get another puppy... Our yard is covered in them!
-
I am going to try for Human Resources. If you want PM me your email address and I will email you the list of courses that are available Part time, which have the times on them. I work full-time so can only do PT

Thanks Ness.. I realised I made her out to sound like a horrible dog. We dont know what her past was, she was dumped in a bush block and no-onr claimed her, then she claimed us as hers, and will stay with us forever! She has only ever warned 2 dogs, in the almost 3 years we've had her and they have been over the top friendly. I have taken her to shows, obedience training, DOL meets and elsehere. I think I am just overly cautious.
-
Thanks Perhaps I will bring her down for a stroll one night, and see how she copes. Then I can leave with no obligation. I think it may be too late to enrol anyway for this semester, which will be fine if I have tafe. Or perhaps training can be held at our house, she welcomes everyone into our backyard cause she thinks its playtime
-
I wouldnt class her as dog aggressive, she doesnt go for things out of turn, just if she gets a dog that is overly in her face she will warn, she has never been aggressive as such. I have been to an obedience class with her, and she handled the interaction part fine. I am just cautious,, and perhaps overly cautious because I know she can be touchy.
-
OK - Silly question, regarding training etc Are all dogs pretty much under control. Reason I ask, because Roxy doesnt like dogs getting in her face, she is very obedient, will come if I say come, etc but just worry about dogs rushing up to her
-
Exactly Will have to wait and see what happens when I enrol for tafe tomorrow... as one of the units look like it could be tuesday night.
-
So I can join up, and then if she bombs out and doesnt pick it up, I dont bother about registering her to compete, but if she is a star, then all I have to do is sign her up... I like the sounds of that
-
I keep meaning to sign Roxy up as an associate dog, so I can try doing some Obedience/Agility with her... she is pretty good picking things up! I had started working with Cruise, and he had learnt to sit, down and stay, and how to hold a dumbell... I dont think he was a typical westie... I will try it out with my next one tho! Edited to add.. I dont know if holding a dumbell has any relevance, i just thought it was pretty cool I had taught it to him

Harry is now qualified for BOTG We also qualified Cherub (Italian Greyhound - Piccino Zucchero) for COTRS on the weekend. Congrats - you will have a busy night

I heard a horrible story about a ridgie and a young girl Didnt know if it was a protective / or hound instinct thing..
-
I will be there definately for the goldies, but I think Goldies and Dallys could clash then! We will just have to wait and see. Happy to introduce you to Lee anyways! You will just have to remind me of your real name, cause it could be embarrasing... Hey Lee - meet Labrat... I am hopeless for names, so I am soooo sorry I cant remember

Oooooh, nice!! Im "researching" my next dog - and wanting to get to know Vizslas and Dalmatians! I may come and annoy you CnR - hmmm, may even bring cake! Rat That'd be good! I was looking at her dogs on DOL last night, thinking the whole time Lee was a man, then when I saw her photo I was like "oh, of course, Lee is a lady" Duh Given their temperament, I guess they would be fun dogs to show!! Lots of enthusiasm and energy! Rat Yep - I show her Bronte from time to time... whos hates being hand stacked and is a figit! I havent even checked my K9 news lately, so will have to see what else is on that night... if I remember correctly its Goldies too.
-
Will introduce you to Lee - breeder of the said Dalmatian and I have handled others of hers too. I dont know anything about them - except they are a handful to handle Oooooh, nice!! Im "researching" my next dog - and wanting to get to know Vizslas and Dalmatians! I may come and annoy you CnR - hmmm, may even bring cake! Rat

I probably will be... I might have just taken on showing a little bitch, we will see how some shows go and make a decision from there

Ohhh I adore Reggie - he was an excellent showman, and I have had the pleasure with living with him!
-
I experienced this last year, Although it was a lovely show, well run, it was a breed club show, and the only managed to get a terrier judge to do judging... It would of been nice to have a judge with experience in the breed.
-
Race greys, are bred for that, good racers, bred to good racers. (well thats my understanding anyway) Show Greys are bred to the breed standard, however you can get the two to cross..I was going to get a friend of mine who raced greys, to register his boy who i with the CAWA so I could show him, cause he was lovely.
-
Is your breeder aware of your intentions with him? That you plan to show, and possibly breed? If so she would be the best person to advise which pup is suitable Thanks Sarah

My mum had hers made, they used the concept of the bike holders.

What she said  Bar if a judge wishes to hold a CC, because they dont think the dog is good enough, thats the only time I know where we dont get CC's Our system isnt much different We dont have all the classes UK does or the junior warrant titles & qualifying for shows like Crufts etc etc. Obviously titling is different where i think you need to win 3 CC we need 100 points eg approx 17 . We dont have limits on shows awarding CC to breeds ,every show especially in WA is awarded CC. The only time non awarding of CC happens is if a national show is on & there are other shows within the designated distance exclusion zone. Here the main classes are baby minor puppy junior inter state aust openThe above are typical classes used in WA with the occasional exception Breed/group clubs can use limit graduate but rarely are these used. The system in all sense is the same. All class winners except baby compete for CC/RCC. Lhasos arent shown in big numbers here

Woohoo... I have a good friend - who I also help show who breeds Chi's!!

We have outside beds, loungeroom beds, and bedroom beds... When we had the two, we would frequently find them on the same bed tho, but liked the idea that they could have seperate beds if they wished. We have the Snooza green beds for outside, and in winter, when we are out, I just have a simple matt on top We have beds with lips on them, from better pets and gardens in the lounge (a funky leopard print, and zebra print) - we also have an old single mattress behind the couch, that we pull out in the winter and they love to cuddle up in one corner of it instead of stretching out! And just plain flat fluffy matt kind things in the bedroom, cause they have the soft cushiony carpet underneath. Oh - and then we have the HUGE bed that they have in the wagon of the car!!!

I want to go home early, and see if there is something waiting for me in the letterbox!
