  1. Maybe she smells different, cause shes been away... Also, apparently sterlaised bitches can still put off an interesting smell - Cruise used to be in love with 2 x steralised goldie bitches everytime we went to OH's mums house! Would they be re-establishing pack order? cause shes been away?
  2. Congratulations, what a way to finish her title!!
  3. They would of been about 3 or 4 months at a guess :p
  4. I dont know their names, but one of them was a snuggle bum
  5. I stopped down to the Show N Go briefly last night, I had been out to dinner, and was wearing killer heels.. I promised OH i wasnt going to get out of the car, but saw Winpara with her BC babies and couldnt resist!!! I love watching the dogs having sooo much fun!
  6. I've heard lots of good stuff about this place too. The newish owners of Hey You have a cav too I beleive They are lovely people
  7. I currently have a 2007 Holden Berlina Wagon, does the job fine, has brilliant boot space, we managed to fit 3 people, a standard poodle loose, a westie in a crate and all associated gear in it and go to albany, the table and trolley for the show went on the roof rack. I have just been looking at possibly upgrading, but I havent been able to find a wagon with so much boot space. The Triton newer utes, have their window from the back open by a button, therefore if you had a canopy, you could open that to let the aircon in
  8. I feel your pain, our dane had done it in a similair spot. Hope it heals OK!
  9. A dane with a tail injury is just as fun... the tail is like a whip = and kills when it hits your legs!!! Takes a bit to heal, lots of wrapping, and rewrapping to try and get it to heal! depending on where she has damaged it of course, cause just the slightest wag and hit on something will open th wound again!
  10. Well done, what an exciting start to your return!
  11. As others have said, dont leave food down, I find it encourages picky eaters.. If you really want to do it, you can buy special bowls that have a moat(ap?) around them that you can fill with water
  12. We didnt make it to down to see Lincoln tonight, we got asked to sit OH's brothers kitten - a gorgeous ragdoll.. I am smitten, they have just picked him up!
  13. Westies are stripped to keep the hair in good order - remove the dead coat so that the new coat can come through and they dont have to share the same follicle and prevents irritation. Westies are dry cleaned with chalk / powder to retain natural oils in the coat and keep the coat Harsh/Coarse which will prevent irritation. If you have a correct textured dog it is said that by adding chalk to the coat, and brushing it out, your dog will come up clean. However I do this preperation at home, and if I HAVE to put any chalk in his coat at the show - I make sure I go to an open empty space to get it out, nothing like wearing a black suit that gets covered in chalk Not many people know the reasons behind Westies being chalked, and I had to do it at the Royal as a touch up, and lots of people asked why I was doing it... I was glad I could inform them why.
  14. As people have said - be wise and pick and choose. I took Cruise to OH's work, introduced employees, there was alot of banging and carrying on there as it is a manufacturing factory Took to my work, and introduced to all there, and took to family and friends house where I knew other animals could be trusted
  15. Congrats, that is awesome... Im so tempted to pop down to training tonight.. Are you going to Jenns or Delias?
  16. This sounds interesting! I think I need to know more :D It is sooo fun to watch, dogs and their handlers dancing to music! doing spiffy tricks too.. Its at Jack Mann oval on Bishop Road, they have midland, but I think its Middle swan.. its just off Roe/Toodyay Road, or near the corner of great northern Hwy and Roe Hwy
  17. Ohhh I just saw there is a dancing with dogs comp/event on Friday night in Midland... may have to drop the work event and head over to that... anyone know how long they go for? Vetting time is 6.30 with judging time 7pm...
  18. Is there a show on this weekend CnR? I need to buy some stuff from the shop. Nope not at CAWA - there is an open show in Bunbury and Geraldton this weekend..
  19. I can actually come down and not be distracted by the show!!! hehehe

  21. I will be everywhere at the Classic... Have to seriously sit down and figure out what I am showing tho... I know they have taken goldies out for one of the days and they are on Friday night. But on the other day I will be... for some of the time hehe.
  22. I think there was a Toller shown recently... I used to (many many years ago) help handle a Toller from time to time, and he was quite friendly
