  1. Just as well I do hope to get up to some other shows, when the weather is cooler. Bunbury shows are pretty good! Not too busy so you cant socialize Glad there will be a few Dallies Friday night! Looking forward to meeting some. Rat Only 7 dallies... thats not much!
  2. yes terriers are on at a normal All breeds show tomorrow. The Classic is a bigger show - the following weekend
  3. Im thinking of doing a trip down to Southern River tonight to have a look at agility... What time is best to come?
  4. what kind of stain, and where abouts. Generally a good whitening shampoo works well, but I found another good product that you make into a paste and apply or mix with shampoo, but forget the name of it... Will have a look when i get home and let you know
  5. Lucky you My OH is quite similair, revolves his decisions around us, and our pet family :D Although we have been together for 5 years now, so I kinda expect it
  6. I was asking about those cooler beds the other day, after seeing on DD... Decided I might wait a bit, and just stick with cool coats for now
  7. I used it because we had been out in a bush area the day before that is prone to tick and fleas, and hadnt used frontline recently
  8. There is an option on the machine to disenfect, and it comes out the hose and you spray down the bath and walls etc. If there wasnt anyone in before me, that I saw use this option, I would be inclined to do it before I started to wash my dog.
  9. We went to Better Pets & Gardens, Cost $10 for 10 mins, and you could buy extra time if you needed it Shampoo Condition Flea & Tick Rinse Blowdry and Disenfect the tub For Roxy my StaffyxRidgy we only needed the 10 mins with a rough blowdry
  10. Hi, Was just browing through Deals Direct and stumbled accross these http://www.dealsdirect.com.au/p/pet-cooler-bed-3/ Has anyone had any experience with them? Thanks
  11. Tis Canine Cough - not Kennel Cough... Just a little pet hate of mine... Good to hear you found out, as well as getting the other dog sorted too
  12. Yep, we go and stay the night.. There are a number of dog friendly places. It is a great show ST! Nice relaxed and laidbacked.... Even though I dont have my own dog to show, Im still going
  13. Hello Is anyone going to Albany this weekend?? Just thought I would see who else is going
  14. I could be interested in the Bunbury show!? Where do I find more info? Are well behaved non-showing dogs allowed to attend? As long as your dog is kept controlled, yes. But bear in mind, it will prevent you from fully interacting with other dogs, as it isnt like taking your dog to a park and socialising, some dogs take lots of preperation, and some will not let your dog interact with theirs. The next Bunbury show isnt for a while, October is the next conformation show, but there are obedience/agility trials between see here http://www.dogswest.com/Pdfs/Events_List_2010.pdf
  15. My plans have slightly changed ... Hopefully I will get a new show puppy and just have fun, thats all I ever want of babies, a fringie is nice, but my main objective is to have fun, and them enjoy the ring. In the mean time I am handling a variety of dogs that keep being handed to me, so just enjoy showing, and not get caught up in politics and rubbish that comes along with this sport.
  16. Haha, I always allow myself that extra time(being 40 mins to drive a 30 mins), to pull car out of carport, pull down and lock roller door, go back inside because ive forgotten to pick up my show jacket etc
  17. to what Aziah and Megz have said. If you dont like it, dont enter it... I entered last year for fun, and faired quite well.. yes the competitive streak did come out towards the end, but at the end of the day, I am taking the best dog in my eyes home
  18. Thanks for letting me know about this offer - wouldnt of known otherwise!!! I have just changed from Advance to Bonnie WD - I wonder if they classify Bonnie as 'quality', might just have to pick up some advance at that rate
  19. We went in about 3pm.... we woke up to our power out... was only brief tho!
  20. Oooh which one? I bathed the girls yesterday after our beach trip and I do it in the clam shell pool out the backyard. Ruby is pretty easy, she stands there (biggest pain is her trying to eat the water out of the hose!) but Millie stands there scared stiff trying to slyly escape! So I have to hold her the whole time. Millie then rolled in the dirt once done!! :D So much easier when I used to get them hydrobathed, but I was told the one at the vet doesn't shampoo! So I didn't see the point. My house stunk like wet dog for several hours after, as I had to lock one in the sleepout to dry while the other was outside otherwise they both tear around the yard like lunatics to dry off, getting dirty again! ;) i used the midland one, but im sure if you enquire at Kelmscott and Canning Vale they will be able to tell u if they have it or not!!
  21. I travel 30mins for the local showgrounds, and travel up to 5 for a 'country' show. Anymore driving and I think I would fly :D Have flown east for a specialty show, and would do it again
  22. Yesterday we went to better pets and gardens, they have a DIY hydrobath, which is quite handy $10 for 10 mins, gives shampoo, condition, flea and tick wash and blowdry, and at the end a disenfectant wash for the bath :D If I hadnt of been waiting and seen the previous people do a disenfectant wash, I would of done this first. You can add more $$ for more minutes.. It really is great to use... Only complaint is there was no towels, so take your own, cause trying to blowdry a sopping wet dog takes forever!
  23. So so sorry for your loss, there is no words anyone can say to take away that heartache. It takes time, and you will remember the good memories, and be able to laugh and smile at the time you had together
