Checked the ANKC international judges list for 2011, no listing for Melbourne Royal at all, this will also clash with Perth Royal. Yep - shame, as I was hoping to head over for the Melb Royal next year

Hmmm... As I grew up, Mum bred and showed (which i helped with) Shih Tzu. In my teen years, she added danes. I moved out of home, and due to certain circumstances, I had to place my gorgeous shih tzu in a home, broke my heart, but I just couldnt have a dog due to living circumstances. When my now Hubby and I first bought our new home about 2 yrs later, we found a dog - Roxy a staffy x ridgy and no-one claimed her, and she stayed... After looking after a then friends BC, and being on her waiting list for a puppy, we noticed Roxy was very lonely (as she had had a companion for 8 weeks) and hubby decided as we didnt know how long the BC puppy would be, that he wanted a Westie. As it happened, I rang a friend of mine on the thursday and she had a litter due that weekend, and our boy Cruise was born that saturday. When Cruise passed, I had to have another little white dog join our family. Someday I will have another Tzu, as they really are my heart breed, but I just dont have time for the coat at the moment, and I would want to show it too. I like PF's comment "I reckon dog breeds are like icecream - its fun to sample lots of flavours but there's probably always going to be one or two absolute favourites."

How will we know which one is you in the kitchen TW, or will there only be you???? I may head in on Sunday.....depending on how much sleep I get after ns. Ha ha - There should only be one or two people in the kitchen as we are preparing food, tea and coffee for the judges and stewards. Food for all and sundry will be available outside at a BBQ and coffee van. I will only be there Saturday but am pretty easy to spot being very short and apparently looking far younger than I actually am (I'm still getting asked for ID when I buy wine, despite being legally able to drink for a decade!. Grrrr.). I may be around Sunday morning walking my Sibe 'Zazu' and doing some attention work. Mmmmmmm cofffe van at Bunbury.... they are sooo good... shame im not going, may have to duck in Saturday morning on my way to Peppermint Grove Beach! Kalamunda Chicken treat is so awesome and I am staying in peppy grove beach this weekend too! :p Ewww... if you like bad service, and shrivelled up chicken rolls..... I think Im staying on the beach front... Am down there for a hens day-night/weekend. Drive down early tomorrow, getting picked up for a winery bus tour during the day, and its dress up as something starting with L...

Kalamunda Chicken Treat Sucks... i work in Kalamunda and refuse to eat there... prefer to go to the bottom of the hill - High Wycombe!

How CUTE! Hubby wanted a staffy as his next dog, but then when he heard how noisy they can be, decided against it

LOL - I won MY first All Breeds Best In Show handling the same dog a little while ago! Go Cashy - you multi BIS winning superstar, you! Well done again RnH! As far as my year went, my gorgeous Whippet boy Buzz turns 6 months old on Thursday and so moves out of Baby up with the 'big kids' ;) I am so happy with my little man, we have had lots of fun so far and he finishes his baby career with 3 x Baby in Groups and 1 X Baby in Show (at a Sighthound specialty) Looking forward to what the next year may bring!! How funny is that - he certainly is a superstar... I dont really want to hand the reigns back to pete LOL! All the best with little Buzz man, he is soo cute

After loosing my boy at the start of the year, I kinda had plans for him, which unfortunately went unfilled and I kinda lost some interest in showing and then i won my first ALL BREEDS BEST IN SHOW - At the PERTH ROYAL SHOW no less, handling a friends Standard Poodle... I also took out Runner Up Best in Show at the Non Sporting Club of WA Champ show with him a few weeks prior too I also steered another friends Chi to BEST IN SHOW at a Chi Club Champ show The Dalmatian I show, gained her 1000 points, but still needs 2 groups to become a grand... So I haven't finished the year too badly... I wonder if I can top it next year... Hopefully a new puppy will come to me next year sometime... just gotta be patience

A bit hard to say - they're just done when they're done. Probably mid-morning for the Flatties. Labs usually lunch-time or just after. Goldies usually before lunch. I know there were 190 entries in group one and it was all over with by 1ish on Saturday... Depending on how they are split is how quickly they will get through them I guess... I will be there showing a goldie... ETA - If you dont get to see them showing, we are stuck in the Pavillion all day, so you can still meet and greet breeders/owners and their dogs
