  1. I can provide you with Golden photos... or do you need to actually take them?
  2. Out of curiosity, do these apply to breeds where those colours are common? Example being my Black labs, would they be more susceptible to certain kinds of cancer? Or is it only the case in breeds where the colour is rare/disqualified? Or Samoyeds, are they more su susceptible to deafness ect? Apparently the cancer link goes across breeds for black dogs. Rottweillers are noted as being more susceptible to parvo as a breed. Can't say about Samoyeds but Westies get skin issues noted in health issues for the breed. This irks me... IMO Badly bred Westies, by BYB and those that dont know their lines or teach people correct coat care or proper care of their pet in general will get skin issues. Those that come from dedicated breeders that know and work on their lines, who mentor their pet people correct care of their new puppy, which includes diet, are less inclined to skin issues. I have had 2 Westies now, from reputable breeders and neither have had any hint of skin issues. - Although the vet tried to rush me into signing up for pet insurance because my Westies skin was a bit pink, and his coat was patchy.... because I had only partially stripped him that morning!!!!
  3. Here I was thinking I was stuck to white, white or white! :nahnah: You just have to switch to the breed that the whites were split off from - the Cairn Terrier!! (or give me a call at Deshonko, I'll produce any colour you like ) Hmmm... my mind is boggling with ideas now....
  4. Fly me over and I will come LOL!! ETA - I can even put in a topknot and groom the dog!!
  5. Here I was thinking I was stuck to white, white or white!
  6. That was my thoughts too... but when you look at the vic bushfires and how quickly it spreads, it still makes you worry... Fires are just so darn unpredictable... it is miles away really, took a pic and will post on FB
  7. Leaving work now... will report from home....
  8. and I hope you are feeling better soon too VCBR.. Joshs uncle has been in hospital at the moment, and then had a allergic reaction to the AB's he had been on for 5 weeks, came up in a bad rash.
  9. Eeek, dont tell me that.... Josh did pop home to check on the kidlets and said they are fine... Im in Kalamunda... and havent been outside all day, Im sure I will be able to see it on my drive home...

  11. Was thinking of heading home for my lunch break to put the furry kids inside, as Im just off Talbot Road off Toodyay Road, within 5-10 minutes where they have people on alert. Hubby works off Farrell Road, and said the smoke isnt that bad... so not going to stress. The kids did get their clamshell filled with water this morning, and an extra water bucket put out... I sook them soo much
  12. I have been going for the past 4 weeks, its sooo much fun... Is it a big turnout? I am worried... I am so uncoordinated!! there is usually about 10 or so people, its a good laugh, we all laugh at each other, and they say laughter is good, so if you dont get any benefit from the excercise at least you feel good inside LOL
  13. I have been going for the past 4 weeks, its sooo much fun...
  14. I just had someone from WA say to me on Saturday night, that our VIC facilities are better the WA ones. Not having seen the WA ones i have no idea. VIC would have to have the largest entries at shows on average. We have an undercover area, which can get a little crammed at the larger shows, but still suffices. We also have a large outdoor arena for shows and another large arena which is utilised for ob/agility I liked the fact that the Vic undercover area is enclosed, so actually protects you from the weather. I also liked their offlead excercise yards. Its a much for a muchness.
  15. Tiggy - Pea is sooo cute.... I think he is gorgeous, and looks like hes slipped straight into your household
  16. I have a 2007 commodore wagon, just prior to when they changed their shape to th 'sportswagon'... which really has NO space in the boot. We have a nice plastic mat in the boot, that we can just remove and hose out. We went to Albany in out car, 3 adults, a Std Poodle and a Westie (who was crated for the travel), a trolley and a table, plus our grooming gear, a cabana tent and our own gear. Dont think We could of fit all that in the new wagons LOL
  17. Which toy poodle and dane out of interest please?
  18. Yep I love our facilities. Last year I travelled to Vic for shows, and I enjoyed the shows there, I went for the Westie show, and they also had 2 x Terrier shows on the same weekend (and there were also alot of single breed shows too). They had a great number of entries, and good selection of judges. I have heard NSW is great for variety of shows... It really depends if you are travelling for All Breeds or Single Breed/Group shows.
  19. Ohhh Tiggy and RSG - Im so sorry to hear. RIP little shimi, forever young. Im sure that Pea, will bring you plenty of joy, and im a firm believer in everything happens for a reason..... although sometimes it can be heartbreaking. I was at the show, finished up at about 10.30, and was home by 12... went shopping for a new hot water system (ours stopped working yesterday) and then off to the gidge show... Been a busy day.. Off to the show again tomorrow!
