  1. Electra has always had a not so perfect output but while she was on ZD for a food elimination trial, she did do very well on it. I have tried lots of different dry foods since, and she's currently doing well on Canidae PureSea, what I found that helped the most was adding Protexin and psyllium husk to her meals. I'm not sure of your girls actual problem but maybe something similar could help? Good luck with the RCH :)
  2. You can get it at http://www.thevetshed.com.au/buy/royal-canin-canine-hypo-allergenic-14kg/RCCHYPO14 and http://www.vetnpetdirect.com.au/RCVCH#.ULGT_--APPg but the shipping may make it more expensive than getting it through a vet?
  3. I have just looked on www.hillspet.com.au and couldn't even find the dry you're looking for, listed I used to fed my guys the z/d ULTRA Allergen-Free, would this be suitable for Koda? You can get it at https://www.thevetshed.com.au/ for $108 & $18 shipping,,but it's only a 8kg bag.
  4. There are a few recommendations in this thread :)
  5. I am not normally one to correct other people , but the breed standard actually says And from the Extended Breed Standard of THE AMERICAN STAFFORDSHIRE TERRIER Personally I think 40kg is WAY too heavy/big
  6. It's been YEARS since I've been to Margaret River, but when I did go I took my dog to the river mouth/beach. Beautiful :) This may help a bit, though you'd have to check the locations on a map http://www.amrshire.wa.gov.au/services/ranger-services/dog-exercise-areas/
  7. just found this page http://bioshine.vpweb.com.au/How-to-Order.html via google which has this email address: [email protected] hope that helps :)
  8. I've never used this site, but their shipping is only $10 to WA http://www.stixnbonez.com.au/DogFood/TOTW/totw.html
  9. I haven't seen them in Aus I have used a couple of the bunnings compost panels before, when transporting rescues, though. They bend easy enough and you can tie them to the front head rests :)
  10. I had a similar ear problem recently with Rhino, though his was fungal. After getting a swab tested for resistance it turned out there was only 2, of 5 or 6 different treatments, that it wasn't resistant to. I highly recommend getting a referral to go see a Derm at Murdoch University's Skin, Allergy and Ear Clinic No, it isn't cheap, but definitely worth every penny to get great results!!
  11. Heartbreaking for all involved There is a facebook page for her, with pics/info, that if everyone could share may help get her home Help find lucy
  12. SAFE Perth might have some thing they can lend/sell? Or contacting someone like Hutchwest who might be able to make one?
  13. If it were me, I definitely go to Murdoch. Without needing the cultures for Rhino, the cost there was $720 just for a flush. He needed that one because she couldn't see the drum with the normal scope and we wanted to be sure it was intact. The most expensive time was only because he had a fungus in there that was not commonly found in ears, and we had cultures done as well as tests to check resistance to different treatments.
  14. I had it done the once at Ascot and it cost $519, which included fluids and a fungal culture(which cost $125)
  15. Rhino has just had a huge problem with an ear, and has had to have it flushed a number of times in the last few months Our regular vet charged around $500, but I think they are a bit more expensive than a lot of others, and unfortunately still had trouble seeing the ear drum. Murdoch has some excellent equipment/camera set up(written as MedRX on bill) and have charged me between $720 & $1150, including pain relief and $70 worth of drops. I hope whichever dog has a problem is feeling better soon :)
  16. My two have stayed at Natural Paws and I was very happy with it, though it was over a year ago. My last dog stayed at Danzalin and again I was very happy with it, but that was 5 years ago. Showdogs kennels are awesome, but as said already booked out! I also checked out The Paw House and was happy with what I saw, and the guy who I spoke with was very helpful and nice. Another I have bookmarked, but not checked out, is Kismet Boarding Kennels Good luck :)
  17. Cloverdale has agility every Thursday night. Though haven't been to training there for ages, but assume it's still the same :)
  18. Poor Gus the 3 weeks of ABs and wrapping do the trick.
  19. I use Nutra-Life Joint Food Powder I chose this one mainly because it's in powder form, but also because it has zinc and magnesium for muscle as well as Glucosamine, Chondroitin and MSM for the joints.
  20. Another thing that you could put on the bandage, is vicks vapour rub. My two loved all the bitter sprays as pups, but won't go near vicks Just be careful not to over do it as his sense of smell is much better than ours, I use just a tiny amount, about the size of a match head, and apply about every 6 hours.
  21. Maybe you could ask Suzie at www.thepetisserie.com.au if she could do some dried horse treats for you? Or can he have goat, emu or venison? I assume he's had roo before?
  22. I can only feel my amstaff's glands if I use a fair bit of pressure, and a bit of feeling around. Personally I would get the vet to check.....swollen glands, I think, can mean infection.
  23. WOW I really hope for the both of you that the injections work!! Thank you for all that information, too, will definitely keep a very close eye on them if they get stung again!
  24. I just had a look at their original Intradermal Tests, neither actually got tested for bees/wasps just the pollens, moulds and other insects. I have to assume that they haven't had that added to the desensitisation shots, and that they have just grown out of it? Electra did get stung on the lip a few months back and swelled up, but has been stung before and since with only minor swelling/bump.
