Sheesh  I am forgetful today! One of our dogs can't have dry so he's fed totally on BARF
-
An addition: there isn't going to be an appropriate answer to your question mcosta because individual dogs do well on different things. I find my dogs do well on a mix of raw and dry so that's what I have continued with...

Umm it isn't BARF if you'r feeding kibble with it...

Any updates? So did they only test for particular poisons in the bloods they did? -
I voted Premium Dry and Raw - we feed a small amount of dry accompanied by chicken/beef, RMB's yoghurt etc...
-
Have you had a swab done on the Sibe's ear - we had something similar in one of our puppies - it was a yeast infection which can only be treated by one particular ear drop.
-
I use the natural one it starts with B (long word ) and is in a camel coloured tub. I have heard that dogs with dairy issues have done well on the Soy yoghurt though I've never tried it myself.

Hey Andrea, Sorry to here you have KC at home, it's such a pain - speedy rrecovery wishes to your guys and hope it doesn't go through everyone. We had over 12 months ago, only affected one dog thankfull and like you all ours run together. Of course the person knew! A ribbon is far more important than preventing everyone else's dogs from contracting it! There are so many different strains I found that the Benadryl cough syrup helped alot I think we had returned to normal within a week - he only had a light strain (he was up to date with vaccinations too) - there are just so many different strains and you can't vaccinate against them all. Huigs to all your fur kids

I wouldn't be stuffing around, take him to the vet for a check-up...better to be safe than sorry

Often when a puppy moves away from the litter there isn't that need to eat all the food (because he knows there aren't any siblings to steal it!). If we have a fussy eater, we put the meal down for 15 minutes and if the puppy hasn't eaten it or has only eaten some and walked away we pickthe meal up and don't feed the puppy until the next meal. It won't take the pup long to realise that there are set meal times! I can't stand fussy eaters and so far the above method has worked very well for us. Spyder's going well, full of himself as usual and enjoying running with his "girls"...

I own the sire of this puppy and arranged for dekaffe to meet up with the breeder I'm sure Juggy will be fine, the pups had been fed Hills dry along with beef mince so just stick to this for a while. I find I can't feed my own dogs brisket bones anymore, tends to bind them up too much. Please feel free to email me dekaffe - I have told you many times that I will answer any questions you may have.

What about roasting a chook or buying a BBQ chicken and using that as a treat?

A herbal product called SedaCalm is also brilliant - good luck

We use daily here too - always have... -
Sorry sounds so inadequate, Macdolly we're thinking of you through this very difficult time. Life can be so cruel...

It all comes down to training her not to do these things...if you have to start with her on a lead and use food a a reward for good behaviour. If the kids are running around and having a good time laughing etc. this will most likely be exciting her to the point of nipping etc. Good luck

Yes, Benadryl (Chesty Cough) is great - I have only experienced once and did pick up some antibiotics from the vet.
-
so what are you using now?!
-
I've used the Biolac Coat Improver with GREAT success but I know others who have used it and claimed it didn't work. It's something that must used consistently for a period of time and given religiously every day I have a bitch here who had coat dramas, always out of coat and itchy...I put her on the BCI and within 2 months her coat was gorgeous.

While I can still get the CC's I will use them but thanks for mentioning an alternate I'll keep that in mind.

We use it for the same reason as Warley magnum: I can get it when I need it from a pet supplier up here (have to pre order though) and also from a chemist
