What Brand Of Shampoo/conditioner Does Everyone Use?
Aziah replied to Hoochie Mama's topic in Health / Nutrition / Grooming
Plush Puppy range here :D have also used the Oakway range with success ;) -
One of our girls needed to go onto a fish based dry (+ her regular raw chicken mince, vegies etc.) so we got the Eagle Pack Holistic Anchovy and she's been doing REALLY well on it :D Our other guys are on the Nutro Lamb and Rice and do beautifully on that but Rogue can't have it.

What Shampoo Will Make My Dog Smell Delicious?
Aziah replied to Sally's topic in Health / Nutrition / Grooming
We use the Plush Puppy (www.plushpuppy.com.au) range - the lovely smell seems to last for over a week with out fur kids -
I've only just found this thread I agree with poodlefan..."simplest method is to halve the food and replace some of it with vegetable pulp or mashed pumpkin."

I've also just started everyone on the Greenpet haven't been using it long enough to form an opinion either...but have heard numerous people give it a good pitch ;)

There are no guarentees for HD, it can pop up at any time despite a breeders best efforts to breed form parents with excellent scores. Contact the breeder and explain the situation (after you've got your second opinion) they may be willing to help out with costs of the operation or refund you.

I have just placed an order for a tub of Greenpet (Naturpet) so we'll see how it goes

Good that you work from home, if you hold off and let her grow up etc and she is in season you will really need to make sure that you're with her when she's out in the yard (there have been some amazing stories of lengths males will go to, to get to a bitch in season) She may only have the one season between now and 14 months of age or 2 (I wouldn't think any more than 2 though). Each bitch cycles differently, some come in every 4 months, some 6 and others 12...
-
Do you have the facilities at home to keep her safe/confined whilst she is in season?
-
I find my girls become more sooky and can get more snappy with each other... No I haven't noticed any differences in pet puppies that have been desexed. Have you spoken to the breeder of your puppy, did they request she was desexed at a particular age etc?
-
She'll need to be locked away (must be supervised at all times when out in the yard) I wouldn't advise walking etc...a season generally lasts around 21 days often a little longer. We advise that all our pet puppies are to be desexed at 6 months of age before their first season and haven't had any problems - each to their own.

Is Thrive D similar to Green Pet or the like?
-
What improvements have people seen from the Greenpet/Missing Link? Just curious is all

So they were looking over the fence in the middle of the night too? ETA: my above comment probably sounds rather sarcastic but at some stage the dog is going to bark during the night at something (whether it be a stray cat or whatever). So, if your neighbours are going to complain then you're going to have to think of something that doesn't involve him sleeping outdoors. I know my guys would go off at the slightest odd noise if they were left out during the night...

Rhi: Good to hear things are on the improve...considering he's never allowed inside with you this could be part of the problem, especially if you don't spend much time outside. The visual barrier may not be why he's improved (what is it stopping him from seeing?) it could be that you're now taking the time to go out and spend time with him before bed... I agree with the others, even though you don't want to use one (and probably never will) PLEASE do some research on them so you can be better informed

Rhi: Considering he is supposed to be sleeping I can't see a problem with it providing he has room to turn around and lay down
