I'd normally agree but not if canned/wet food was recommended!

Erny I didn't mean to be rude (and I probably was) I just want people to stop and think... Puppy is stealing washing = don't allow puppy near dirty/clean washing or laundry
-
I've fed Optimum (you can purchase from the supermarket) with success in the past
-
Yes, there are so many options it can be rather daunting! I'd suggest you continue with the mince (raw) and add chicken necks/wings and feed that for one meal and if you wish to feed dry food for the other meal your options are endless Advance, Proplan, EaglePack, Artemis etc. Buy a large bag (after trying it out - small bag first) and it will last you a long time and be economical.
-
What did the breeder feed them before they came home to you? A good breeder will send your puppy home with a diet sheet and you should stick to that and slowly wean them over to your choice (whether that be a good dry food or raw or a combination)...

It really confuses me why something as simple as puppy stealing the washing can be such a drama to deal with? Don't leave clothes on the floor, don't allow her access to the laundry while you're putting washing in the machine and don't let her near the washing basket when you're taking clothes out that have been ironed... What's so hard
-
Agree just used the boiled chicken for training for now...
-
I'd not feed him for a full 24 hours, then I'd give small amounts of chicken and rice (small amounts!)... I am surprised the vet didn't give something like Scourban to help get things under control.
-
Yes, it could be done the other way around

At 8 weeks my babies are chewing on lamb necks, lamb flaps and chicken wings

You shouldn't change the brand of dry food quickly - it should be done slowly...what you're feeding now is fine though I'd be inclined to the beef mince/chicken necks in the morning and the dry as a seperate meal later in the day because meat/dry don't digest at the same rate. Check out the raw feeding threads in this sub-forum, there is tonnes of info Also, make your way to the Corgis, Corgis, Corgis! thread and say hi to the fellow Corgi lovers...

That may be the case in Victoria, but it happens here in Tasmania. For example, the Burnie Ag Show this year has Groups 2, 3 and 5 scheduled for Friday and the balance with Specials on the Saturday. How bizzare. Would be ok if you sucked the first day as you would not have to go back. But if you won the first day you have to go back for the 2nd day. Sway - same thing for some of our Ag shows in NSW At my local Ag show earlier this year the groups were split between 3 days (Thursday/Friday/Saturday)

Fidos Free Itch Rinse Pyrethrum
Aziah replied to Baby Dragon's topic in Health / Nutrition / Grooming
That's very When I use it, I generally wash everyone first as I normally would and as each one is finished I dip them in a large tub with the appropriate dilution and they dry off them selves. Same solution for all dogs because they are already clean before being dipped in -

;) from here too - excellent product... -
Good on you for going with you gut feeling - there will be a wonderful baby from a great breeder for you in the near future I'm sure

I'm not liking the thinning/balding hair on the side of the head either :D

I don't own a Stafford but the puppy doesn't look like something I'd be prepared to spend hard earned money on. It doesn't appear bright and healthy in any of the pics you posted nor does it resemble what I picture as a 7 week old Stafford baby... I think you need to go and meet some other breeders, doesn't matter if you have to wait, you want a well bred, healthy puppy :D

Perhaps she really needed to go to the toilet, you say she was out to toilet not long before that but did you actually see her go?

The dog should be secured either with a harness/seat belt or in a crate when in the car, he should never be loose in the car - we have seatbelts to protect us if we have an accident, you should take the same precautions for your dog.

Blood In My 8 Week Old Cavalier King Charles Poo
Aziah replied to cavalierlover's topic in Puppy Chat
Ok so now I've confused the hell out of myself and finally we have some answers I suggest you take your puppy to the vet asap, have a check up and perhaps do some research! -
Just so you know, the teeth that 'grow' back aren't puppy teeth, they are adult teeth and remain with the dog for life
-
I would have taken him well before now hope he is ok

I never sell two baby puppies together so I'm not much help to you... Puppies will often squabble over jellyfish if it continues and you're concerned, give them time out. You should be spending time with them as individual regardless...

Regardless the pup had the runs (with blood), it should not have been vaccinated...sorry! Good to hear things are looking better in the food front.
