Glad things are on the move again, I hope the couple remaining come out soon too!

Really? Even if she isnt pushing? My next step would be oxytocin, but once ive given that then she has a time limit before i have to jump in and section her. While she is comfortable im happy to leave her. I know some bitches have a long rest beteen pups, without pushing. Whats peoples thoughts?? Its not like i cant section her, my husband is on hand to take us into work and he will do the caesar as soon as we think she needs it. But i would like to give her time to do it herself, while she is not distressed. She has had a previous litter successfully. Thoughts and advice?! For me, my bitches are usually only bred once, so if things aren't progressing in good time I'll take them in and have a c-section to get the babies out. The longer they are in there after commencement of labour, the higher the risk of them being DOA Of course, this is just my opinion and everyone is different

I'd be gone and have them out by now Fingers crossed she starts again soon!

Woohoo! Good job Vanni...hope the second girl comes along ok for you! TWO girls, about time huh!
-
Sounds like a plan ...though the car ride could backfire and lull her into sleep

Are you worried she'll need a c-section? Not entirely but I'd rather have her booked in just in case, then it'll be a daytime thing and save me a motzer on after hours fees. She's just not doing as much as I would hope. This is the third time her temp has dipped. She's not at all keen on eating. She's been nesting off and on since last week. The puppies don't seem to have moved very far back or "dropped" like I'd say that they should. And if she only has a couple on board, there may not be enough hormone present to trigger labour of course and I really don't think she has more than a couple. On the brighter side, the puppies are still active and she's still happy and bright within herself. I'd just feel better if I spoke to the vet, ran my dates and times and numbers past them and got their opinion. Yes, always the risk with a small number that things may not progress...keep us posted!

Ummm I hardly think chaining the dog outside is a sensible option... I'd suggest obtaining a crate and keep her crated, take her out on lead for toilet breaks as necessary. -
That's interesting, my dogs are very social, perhaps it's the older 'pack' members teaching and socialising youngsters, or the visitors to the house :D That would be a big factor, so would temperament. I wasn't having a go or stirring, I really did find it interesting, thanks :D

Not many I don't think....maybe 3 or 4 maximum. But it only takes one doesn't it? :D Yep, just one special one :D
-
Oh excitement! How many do you think she's hiding in there?
