  1. Can I just ask you Memphis - the few puppies who you say will be placed on Main Register...are these puppies being placed on main so they can be bred from, perhaps shown? Or are they being placed on Main mostly because the new family requested it that way? ETA: I checked out where Hay is - there are tonnes of shows within an hour of your town, let us know if you'd like a list
  2. I'm glad she's had her vet visit and you have what you need to make her well again
  3. Nice to see you back memphis - look forward to new puppy pics as they grow
  4. Mine doesn't accept accounts either, my comment wasn't about accounts
  5. There's no need to start Vet bashing, we have been through this many times. You can't put food on your plate by just loving animals, Vet Clinics are a business like any other business. As an employee I really quite like my pay packet each week and it doesn't happen if we open accounts to all and sundry. Private Vet Clinics are not welfare they are private businesses. The OP SHOULD have spare funds in case of emergency for this puppy, it costs in excess of $1000 in the first year to raise a puppy in the first year and that's if everything goes well. Let's get real here please. She can get help if she goes to Lort Smith that's all that needs to be said. No vet bashing on my behalf - I simply stated a fact...it's a clear and obvious fact that some vets arefantastic and some aren't She's aware the dog needs treatment...
  6. Some vets are vets because they adore animals and live for their work with them... Other vets are vets simply because they can be
  7. If you're going to try the vet across the road, take the puppy with you when you ask, don't phone them and ask...they are more likely to treat her if you walk over with her and explain she's very unwell and you're very concerned.
  8. Well if you're certain that you can't go until tomorrow, bath her as suggested, keep her quiet and comfortable...and please keep us updated.
  9. What area, perhaps someone here might be able to help or point you in the direction of a good vet close by?
  10. If you're going to bath her and don't have any flea shampoo, fill up the laundry tub with warm water and pop her in and let her soak for a few minutes while massaging the hair. Let that water go and then shampoo her, rinse that off and fill the tub again with warm water and dunk her again...this should help to remove most of the fleas for the short term.
  11. When did she begin shaking/lethargy/llimping/rash/swollen eyes? Really, she needs to be seen to ASAP and you already know that. Is there an emergeny vet near by - or perhaps a neighbour would be kind enough to give you a ride to a vet that is open?
  12. Next time you attempt to offer them solids, make sure you take mother dog away from them for a couple of hours, this way they won't have been feeding from her and should be a little more hungry and willing
  13. for free whelped, healthy babies!
  14. I was just thinking the same as LMWS - could you take a photo to show us?
  15. Soak the blankets etc. in the Detol disinfectant (can buy at the supermarket) and then run them through a normal wash with whatever you'd usually use. My box itself tends to remain fairly clean and it gets a wipe over when needed with white vinegar. The floor surrounding the box gets wiped over with a mild solution of MYO 3X as necessary and the carpet in the box is changed every couple of day and disinfected/swapped for clean/dry piece. The bedding in the box is replaced and washed daily (more frequently as they grow) just in what I wash everything else in. Shoes don't come past the front door however a solution of the MYO 3X is always made up in a spray bottle and handy should it be needed.
  16. probably because they got advice, disliked it and decided not to come back...their choice.
  17. I got it, but I stand by my previous post - why should people change their posting style to please others? If you (and I say 'you' in general) don't like someones post or advice, let it go in one ear and out the other. The dog world isn't the place for the faint hearted, it's a tough place and yes, we were all 'new' at some point and none of us ever stop learning but it takes people from all walks of life, if you don't like someone, or what they post (or how they post) then move on and don't associate with them.
  18. There are ways to help new members without being rude not everyone posts photo's in black/white or edits them. I hardly think editing photos was the focus of these posts (having a clean whelping/living environment certainly is)...why should people change their posting style to please others?
  19. Cute puppies, but it's really important to keep them in a clean whelping box (or whatever one may use, clam shell etc) with clean bedding - no dust/dirt etc.
  20. If you feel you HAVE to sell her to these people, advise them you'll be having her speyed before she leaves you...there is no reason for her to remain entire.
  21. Advise them that you are now having her spayed and if they'd still like her as companion fine, and if not you'll return their deposit.
  22. Troll? ETA: Not a troll, going off other posts...you've spent time posting and complaining, that would have been ample time to do the right thing and send the breeder an update on the puppy they put their heart and soul into raising!
  23. My apologies, I've deleted my posts and I hope you have a lovely holiday - this week has been rather shattering for me and just for a moment it was nice to let fly
