Next weekend
-
It starts at 9.00am with sweepstakes I think - I'm entered but I doubt I'll be there, too much to do before we go away.
-
I see it every time it comes in and I just delete it...

I wasn't having a go at you Cos and I'm glad you enjoyed your experience

At just over 2 weeks my most recent babies were escaping the box so we removed that and had a piece of marine carpet in one area with bedding on top and another area with newspaper and the remainder was left as bare lino. While I was spending time with them and once I started to wean I made sure that everytime I was there and they woke up I moved them to the newspaper. As they grew and had time outside, they were fed out on the grass and toileting soon after. If the weather was poor I'd feed them inside, wait a few minutes and doa quick trip out to the grass and they'd all go and we'd race back inside :D At 8 weeks of age they were very rarely toileting overnight and if they did it was on the newspaper and first thing in the morning I'd open the pen door and they'd run down the hall and out front and toilet on the grass. Not a bad effort for 8 week old babies. Okay, so basically I was lazy and didn't move them to the appropriate areas! Oh well, I'll follow your plan for the next lot! I think we might save up for some vetbed too - can you get Aussie hair off it easily? I think Pembroke hair is worse than Aussie hair so I reckon you'll have no drama

From memory all that was required at the time was 2 litter registration sheets showing the same dam. Plus all the reports from the DNA company, in our case Vetgen. Back in 2002, I was told that there had only been 1 previous multi sired litter that had been registered by WA's Canine Council. What I would like to know, seeing that procedures here have appeared to have caught up, is what companies are out there within Australia that do DNA parentage testing now? Baylord... Genetic Technologies (VIC) Animal Network

That's ok and you're going to find some breeders who will allow you to visit and others who won't and some who don't allow their puppies to leave until 9-10 weeks of age due to not vaccinating until 7-8 weeks of age.
-
Nope, mine think it's all about them who else would people come to see?!
-
I agree which is why I'm politely *trying* to say that I'm nasty and don't allow many visitors almost until puppies are ready to leave for their new homes.
-
Yes, I have a select few I allow to visit but they are well versed in what I expect
-
But you only know that because you added it all up, alternatively, stash $45 away every now and then, when the times comes and you're ready to order you'll have the money and only need to amount for postage
-
I don't allow visitors (certainly not potential puppy owners) until after the first vaccination...
-
Nooooooo you're doing it all wrong don't buy them all at once, just buy one bit at a time and never add up the total in the end
-
The cheapest I've found is $45 per meter (1.5m wide) from Peperone Pet Supplies

Here's my reply in another thread which doubles for here and is the basis for how I begin toilet training. New puppy owners have come back to me to let me know how easy it has been (especially overnight) for the most part... At just over 2 weeks my most recent babies were escaping the box so we removed that and had a piece of marine carpet in one area with bedding on top and another area with newspaper and the remainder was left as bare lino. While I was spending time with them and once I started to wean I made sure that everytime I was there and they woke up I moved them to the newspaper (young babies often have a habit of waking up, standing up and just peeing whereever they might be standing at the time, usually on their bedding). As they grew and had time outside, they were fed out on the grass and toileting soon after. If the weather was poor I'd feed them inside, wait a few minutes and doa quick trip out to the grass and they'd all go and we'd race back inside At 8 weeks of age they were very rarely toileting overnight and if they did it was on the newspaper and first thing in the morning I'd open the pen door and they'd run down the hall and out front and toilet on the grass. Not a bad effort for 8 week old babies.

If you like the vetbed just start purchasing pieces from now and you'll have ample by the time your litter(s) arrive
-
I'm so sorry for your loss Lolap I hope Mr Stubbs comes along well for you... Run free little babies

I've used the window stickers around this time last year and found them very good, picked up some more yesterday because they've become a pain in the neck again and within a couple of hours of sticking them on the window there were several flies almost dead in the window sills where the stickers had been placed. None this morning buzzing about when I got up so they seem to work well for us

They must all be registered with the birthdate of the first puppy born, so in your case, February 13th.
