If you Frontlined them then there's no reason to keep them indoors when you take them away this weekend... Personally I'd have bathed them first then used the spot on - though I prefer the Fido's Fre-Itch Concentrate as a bath and no spot on.

7 Year Old Girl Mauled In Central Coast Shopping Centre
Aziah replied to samoyedman's topic in In The News
I heard on the radio this morning that the dog (stated as 'Bull Terrier') was being held at the pound (?) and was to be released and it would be up to the owners as to whether or not it would be euthanised. The above makes me wonder what really happened, it's not often that a dog involved in an attack gets such a reprieve? -
How old now? There's no set rule though every few hours you'll probably find they are wanting a feed... ETA: if you were bottle feeding for instance it would be every 3-4 hours
-
As SBT123 said the initial pushing and pulling encourages the bitch to let her milk down, they don't need to do this for the entire feed though if a bitch had a low milk supply you'd probably find puppies doing this throughout the feed. Sounds like everything is well
-
The 'push & pull' is perfectly normal, they are working to get their feed...is mother dog in good milk? If they are all gaining weight steadily and look full and healthy then there is no cause for concern, I assume Floss comes and goes to them throughout the day (ie. she doesn't require you to take her to them, she goes of her own free will on a regular basis)?
-
How you could sleep through a baby being mauled is beyond me she had to have been tripped out (passed out)! on something!
-
I agree and I see you're going this afternoon - good decision, it would be silly to go to the vet to buy meds over the counter and not get a proper diagnosis?!
-
So, are you going to take her to the vet? I'd not suggest worming if she's already unwell, often wormers can cause stomach upsets, you don't want to further the current one.
-
I guess it comes down to whether or not you want a dog in just over one weeks time or if you'd prefer to wait a little longer. If you're happy with both the breeders and they check all your criteria boxes (along with their dogs) then it just comes down to timing... If you are happy with breeders and feel you are ready for a dog next week then by all means go down and visit on the long weekend, if you're not happy for whatever reason you come home minus a puppy. Without offending, I don't think it's rocket science, go with your gut, worst case scenario - you'll waste petrol money
-
I agree with TnC not to mention any decent vet could palpate and have some idea if there is a puppy present. She needs to be checked by a vet if she hasn't been already...

How did Stroud show go???
-
Oh bloody hell hurry up Working Dog Group ;) thanks Poocow for reporting in!
-
I was a little late feeding my baby this morning and she did the same, I'd not think she's doing it on purpose but perhaps she's just really hungry come early morning?
-
I'm pretty sure that she can't fly later than 6 weeks in whelp... Personally - I'd wait until I arrived, settled in and then find a suitable stud dog to breed her to. I've sent a 4 month old baby to the USA and she handled the long trip fabulously, she bounced out of her clean crate and walked straight the airport without a worry in the world.

BOB Skye Terrier - Grd Ch Skyebrae Im Total Babe, way to go Jules & Candy!
-
I'll looking into those - still decising if we'll make it but it's nice to have something organised if we do!
-
Run... Forget the deposit, not worth it, any breeder who wont' refund a deposit under those circumstances (or expects to keep that deposit AND receive another for a puppy from a different litter) is not worth dealing with.
-
At a guess, $1200 for puppy?
-
No doubt there are plenty of established Junior Handlers out there who woudl love the opportunity

Just a quick heads up to those of you who don't visit the Market Place in OT - I have my 4 berth trailer available for sale.

I wonder what the Wagga Wagga Beach Caravan Park would be like? Linky
-
What? I thought you'd be coming to meet me! I wonder if Mr Barwick will make the trip - Team Windyle did last year. I'll ask. Oh I am, I am I'd say so, they usually go, I think he was going to check with some Whippet friends if they could recommend a motel but I thought in the meantime I'd see what I could find.
-
The one I stayed at banned dogs after some showies abused the rules. Can't help there I'm afraid. Hopefully someone else will know of one. not surprising, always a small few to ruin it for the majority. If I can't find a decent motel I'll look into the houses, thanks so much Don't tarry too long Aziah.. they book out pretty fast. Not as cheap as a motel though. Ohhhh, hurry people come and and show me a nice motel! Won't do 3 days, might head to Goulburn on the Friday night and travel the rest of the way Saturday morning and home Monday...so just two nights. Corgi specialist on the Saturday so thought it worth some consideration
