I saw a set-up when we were away at a show last year, they had a big piece of heavy canvas draped all the way over their van so I assume this stopped the condensation, it was really cold where we were and funnily enough, these people had Danes...

Baby was the Cardigan Welsh Corgi...

I get my Fido's (Fido's Fre-Itch Concentrate) from Vet Products Direct - I buy it online because it's truthfully half the price (opposed to buying it from PetBarn for example). Link below... Fido's Fre-Itch Rinse Concentrate ETA: makes the dog smell gorgeous, once you've dipped them allow to sun dry and it's active for a week for fleas and 3 days for ticks.

Yes PF - the Aziah crew will have purple sparkles :D I'd do a top coat of clear spray or something I think I'll test it on an old pen panel first!

JulesLuvsCavs - yes lots of coastal towns have sandy soil which seems to be a preferred environment for fleas... AGain, I recommend the Fido's

They went up a while ago and average around $30 now. Oh ok, my Bunnings hadn't last time I checked I'll need some soon though so they might have gone up this time.

Oh really? I thought that they might still spread them to other dogs (if they saw any while we're away) as it would take a few days to kill them. But if not that is fantastic as I wasn't looking forward to it. I hindsight I would have bathed them first too except I found them about 20 minutes before I had to leave for work and freaked and just wanted to get rid of them ASAP. What's on the dogs should be dead by the time you head off for the weekend... For future reference, get a bottle of the Fido's Fre-Itch Concentrate and if there's a next time dip them in a made up solution...I also make up a spray bottle and spray the dogs if I'm heading to a show in an a tick area. One capful toa 500mL spray bottle and the big concentrate bottle lasts for ages...
