  1. I missed the bit about Bianca's birthday S N D - we'll be celebrating a birthday on the weekend too Hope numbers come back soon, getting terribly impatient
  2. I'll be in that S N D no rain no rain no rain...and so it continues
  3. No one said everyone who comes here has to tell all to DOL but they'll get answers according to what people see (or don't) between the lines. JSK - you're not yourself lately, what's going on? (and that's a genuine question from a concerned me)
  4. We did it last year too and we camped (with 6 inches of mud under the tent) :ee: this year we've booked a cabin!
  5. I meant do you have any friends or family here in Australia that could care for him while you are gone? That way, when you return he could live with you again... Some people here have given you some good contacts to ask for help in finding your boy a good home, follow those up and see how you go and I'm sure anyone else who thinkins of something will post here for you. :D
  6. :D no one is having a go nickojoy, just interpreting posts the wrong way!
  7. I thought my post was easy? I just expressed I was sad that they weren't taking their dog with them and asked if there was someone here who could mind it while they were gone... I'm not a mind reader - I didn't know they might be from a non-English speaking background I just read it that they were renting from a home owner in whichever country it is they are temporarily locating. Apologies to the OP if I came across as insensitive, I didn't mean it to be :D
  8. :D sad that a much loved companion is now too much of an inconvenience to take with you... Good on you though for coming here and trying to go about re-homing the correct way, is there no one in your family here that could care for your dog while you are gone?
  9. Woodbyne, it's an expensive way to do progesterone testing but not unknown...Frozen Puppies sell those kits and the machines and they aren't cheap from memory. Could you ask your vet to take blood and send off to their pathology lab for the reading? It should only cost you around $60 that way
  10. ...and don't forget Knox, Wicki & Avery ;) Ever's last show in baby will be Coffs Harbournot this weekend but the following then we're having a break through June. Are they your new bubbas??? I'll have to check out that Corgi thread.... Ever is such a young lady now - definitely time for her to be in the points! They are but I haven't mentioned them anywhere else, 6 weeks today but looking good! Ever is such a wicked little person, time for her to behave Very exciting!!! I can't believe Ever is wicked. You must have her mixed up with someone else's naughty baby. ETA: I love the names! You come up with fantastic names. LOL I was thinking hang on who is these puppies Aziah speaks of... I love the names aswell... I really like different names Ummm thinking I was speaking to dotty the other day and we both agreed that there isnt much cuter that a corgi puppy... except obviously puppies of our own choosen breeds They are imaginary, honest I'll get some pics up in the next few weeks, so glad you like Corgi babies Sammy ...they'll debut in the first half of July!

  13. Are you a registered breeder? Progesterone testing is nver at a cost of $300 - think you might need to check that out
  14. Speak to the breeder of your dog, they will be able to guide you and also should have some input as what lines may or may not be suitable to go with his.
  15. No they don't, the paperwork is still in the breeders name and now they've received the information that the puppy is dead. The responsible thing to do is to get proof of death by way of certificate and return the papers to the VCA. He couldn't do anything with the papers now, you cannot transfer a dead dog! But you could do plently of other things (especially considering there isn't a chip number on the registration papers)
  16. Can we have a pic please so we can see? Sounds interesting (the markings)... I feel it's important you take the time to explain (cut and paste from a web source or the like) the markings and that they occur randomly on occassion (or why ever it is they occur)...this might stop them thinking that the pup isn't purebred?
  17. Upon receiving a signed death certificate from the treating Vet, refund the purchase price and be done with it. Ensure everything is documented, ensure you forward the death cert. along with registration papers for that pup back to Dogs VIC and keep a record of everything.
  18. Not always, I had 2 before these, Kiri and Iris and they never fought, Kiri was clearly the top girl and Iris was happy with the arrangement and never challenged her. They were great mates, always playing together and snuggled up together when they slept. Most of the time the time Penny and Kibah are OK but I have to watch them and avoid situations that might cause a fight. I just lapsed a bit last night. I've just gone out and brought Kibah in, she's been in the car all this time but now I've crated her. I'll be keeping them both apart or on leads for the next little while to see how they are together. not always? but it did happen didn't it. What's done is done, your posts of "I never..." really aren't of any help are they? Kirislin - I hope the girls will be ok, just watch for fluid building up under the skin (on the girls neck you think might be bruised) and Pers's suggestion of a hottie each and something sweet to drink is a good one I hope apart from being a little sore and sorry for themselves that tomorrow brings some calm. From the breeds I have had, JRT's, Newfs, Greys and whippets. I have found, in my experience, that females together is the worst combination you can get. They are worse than having 2 males. And yes it is of help if someone else can learn from that. As others have already said with bitches together. So has anyone in the game long enough (ie. Kirislin)...she's not an uneducated novice... Most of us have had bitches that will fight no need to roll your eyes at me! I've had some bitches who've had a fight and can be put together again and others who haven't been able to go back to that happy medium.

  20. Sorry Kaff I got confused - thought it was your other girl (due soon) worrying you! For now as long as the temp doesn't go any higher I'd be happy to keep an eye on her, could be the milk coming in, a bit sore, uterus still contracting etc.
