Send the puppy back to the breeder, request full refund (or puppy at a later date if that's what you want)...

My last litter was whelped on Day 59, maiden bitch and she'd been progesterone tested at mating time so we knew due date was in fact 4 days later... Agree with Hesa - better to be safe than sorry, I'd start temp taking now to get a good feel for her norm

More a case of so badly supported when they where offered.All fine & dandy to say its snobbery but where are all these people when they where offered?? In my state the only ones whom seem to enter where people with retired veterans who figured they where going to the show anyway so they entered them. But the difference between then and now is people actually have something to show for entering the neuter class - they can now go to a show each weekend with the exact same intention as the rest of us- to gain championship (albeit for a Neuter title) points and thus become officially titled as an Australian Neuter Champion What she said

Sadly I'm seeing very few shows offering this, a couple have and a big to them but really it should be mandatory!

If that's the case it's VERY simple to return any entries that aren't complete :D show secretaries shouldn't be walked all over nor should they be expected to bend the rules for certain people!

It would be nice if everyone did the right thing ie. don't enter your baby puppy in NSW if you don't have the number and show secretaries should be sending entries back that aren't completed. You shouldn't be calling them, just return their entry it's not hard for entrants to get it right or follow the rules...they just expect special treatment for whatever reason. One day it will be easy and straight forward and all under the one body - we hope!

I was of the belief you couldn't enter baby puppies without a rego number, I realise if you send the entry off and then advise of the number then when the day comes it's all in order BUT isn't that really entering a dog that isn't registered? Entries close on a specific date, if you don't have the rego number by that date then I really don't feel the dog should be entered?

Do desexed dogs need less nourishment? I haven't heard that before. They tend to put weight on more easily than an entire dog/bitch, I have two desexed girls at home and I'm constantly adjusting their meal size to ensure they remain at a healthy weight; they eat much less than their entire housemates

I'd not breed a bitch past the age of 7 and I'd never consider breeding a bitch even of that age if she'd already produced me what I wanted... If I get what I'm after the first time, that's the end of that :D

'Priah' (Ch Aziah The Phantom Lullaby) & 'Carsten' (Ch Aziah The Ghost Who Walks) both become Champions (as did their sister 'Tara' - Ch Aziah Fact Or Phantasy), 'Ever' finished the baby puppy class a multi Baby In Group & In Show winner and we're all currently having a month & a half break! Next shows will see the debut of our two baby girls 'Wicki' & 'Avery' and Ever will be playing with the big girls for points! 'Wicki' @ 9.5 weeks - Aziah Eyem Not Myself You See ...and 'Ever' @ 6 months
