  11. I currently have two 12 week old baby girls who have had no more than 1 minute every night in the kitchen leading and they are going wonderfully. They have taught themselves to free stand with no guidance from me, they just love to please. I think actual show training for babies isn't necessary, however taking them along one night just before their first sow is often good so they can get the feel of the actual show environment on a smaller scale
  12. That's a great idea (on a non serious note - have you worked out how to install a perspex window on either side of the bitch so we can sneak little looks before they arrive)?! dreams are free!
  13. My last litter was a c-section so, whelped at the vet, once home they were placed into the whelping box (SBT123's design) around the box is a large penned area with lino on the floor (carpet underneath that), window allows natural light in, is right next to our bedroom and the family room, this is where they remain full time for the first 3 weeks. ETA: heat pad on for the first 7 days, bedding in the box consisted of carpet on the bottom and VetBed on top of that, all bedding changed daily. The room is warm and free from any draught...
  14. One on the bed, the older dogs sleep free in one room of the house, the younger ones are crated to start off, everyone is inside, I know where they are, they are warm, quiet and not disturbing the neighbours.
  15. I had a reply from Dogs NSW this morning to advise that a club lsiting will be available hopefully today when they make their new website live.
  16. My vet did mention a couple of weeks ago that they'd had several dogs reacting (with lumps) to a particular batch of vaccine.
  17. :D ETA: too many people make decisions on pups they've run on at less than appropriate ages...if you see lots of potential at 8 weeks run them on and allow them the time to grow through all those growth spurts and changes before making a decision.
  18. they are real cute, their leading training has been going well (in the kitchen!!!) they have already taught themselves to free stand at 11 weeks!

  21. Thanks, I'll relay that to the person who wanted to know!
  22. Thanks for the update, I'm sure you'll have babies come Tuesday, June 29th :D
  23. Still don't see why a vet check if things haven't progressed within 24 hours of the temp drop is a problem... Again...better safe than sorry!
