Do you restrict who comes to your house before litter is born and while they are on the ground? Yes, close to whelping our house is always kept as quiet and calm as possible, and the same once they are whelped. Do you not leave the house? Do you allow visitors (ie schoolfriends of your children?, friends or family with dogs) I leave the house but no shoes come in past the front gate and if I go somewhere that I've come into contact with dogs, I strip off and shower (clothes into washing machine) before attending to the babies. What about if you need to take the kids to school or go the shops - what do you do after? See above... What do you do to prepare the house/kennel etc beforehand, disinfection-wise? what do you use? Our babies are whelped in the house, clean lino as a flooring, I generally use Dettol diluted to whipe everything over, box, floor etc. before it needs to be used. If you work with dogs or go to shows, what do you do to minimise any possible cross-infection? No shoes past the front gate, strip off once inside, clothes into the wash, shower, clean clothes then I can attend to the babies.

My opinion is he'll eat it eventually, you're just playing to his demands by trying to feed the JG hidden.

I agree, at 4 weeks of age it's not looking good...

I Am So Angry, But What Can I Do Without Alienating My Daughter?
Aziah replied to mantis's topic in General Dog Discussion
What? I am uspet that there is a BYB out there, who is selling unvaccinated dogs. How would you feel, if you bought a puppy & a week later found out it has major health issues & after 3 weeks, you have spent nearly a $1,000 in Vets bills, with no recourse. :p How would I feel? I'd feel strongly enough to go back to the breeder and take it further...it's evident there's some fear that your daughter shows towards her partner and that's far from healthy. No matter how hard you try, you cannot help those who cannot or will not help themselves... Really, the underlying problem here is your daughter being controlled by her partner to the point where she will not even contact the breeder of the puppy (a puppy who is costing thousands due to an irresponsible breeder) because he'll get upset! -
Just slow right down! Wait for the blood results to come back, obviously something is not right so it's going to be a matter of slowly working through all the options if the blood work doesn't show anything that could be causing her condition. Drontal is once every 3 months, I wouldn't treat again with Advocate next week after her having had Revolution this week. One step at a time...

I wonder if Dogs NSW are aware of the content of the email given that they are usually sent out by the publisher of the magazine? Might be worth checking out and perhaps bringing to the attention of Dogs NSW?
-
I guess either Ben Luxton or Cheryl Currie Thompson?!
-
Yes ok, just a hurried trip home! Congratulations on Flynn's wonderful wins I'm ok thanks tarakay - DH off to the Dr's again this afternoon
-
We had to cut our trip short and head home early Sunday morning, DH had a severely swollen & painful foot and couldn't walk... Sat/Sun Working Dog BIG winner was Ch Azproudaz Aurora Magic Sat Working Dog RUBIG was our own Ch Aberlee Over The Limit BIS on Saturday was a Tibetan Terrier (I think) and RUBIS was the English Springer.
-
As far as I'm concerned if you don't have the rego number then don't send the entry form, in NSW secretaries should be sending incomplete entries back to sender...rules are rules!
-
I have emailed you a pic of the dog and kids to see if they are one and the same
-
I have ordered from the website recommened and ALWAYS had professional and timely service, all my emails have been answered promptly... Hesa, perhaps SwaY did not receive your emails, that IS actually possible given I've sent several emails recently to people and they still haven't seen them!
-
I'm so sorry for your loss
-
Maltese Luna Can you please PM your email address, I have a photo of the puppy and mother/children for you to look at to confirm/deny that it is the puppy in question. Many thanks...
-
Pretty sure the breeder of the puppy is now aware of the situation, thanks for the heads up MalteseLuna.
-
Is it a Pembroke or a Cardigan, what colour?
-
Thank doG it's not one of mine poor baby I've put a call out to a few breeders incase it's one of theirs so they are aware of the situation ;)
-
Safe travel everyone, see you on Saturday!
-
That's a bit like asking how long is a piece of string sometimes 10 minutes sometimes 60 minutes!
-
Can't say I've ever had that problem and I have prog tested for several years now Moko81 I wouldn't discount her conceiving at this stage...
-
I think the major point here is how ethical is this breeder if they are willing to allow a baby puppy under 8 weeks of age to leave their home... It's just not on as far as I'm concerned...
