All the interstaters should enter their Nueter for Kilcoy to show interest

PF - RSG wasn't joking! But it's ok, we get along just fine despite her dislike
-
I was going to come to play too PF - we are destined not to meet!
-
I think you get rid of the "concerned" title of the thread too - you've just had a tonne of replies telling you she's not underweight... She looks really good...
-
I love that pic!

Ah, ok Corgis suck!!!! OT but you need to visit the Corgi thread, someone special is having his Birthday today
-
Oh stop it PF ! I am sick of agreeing with you

Your opinion. Last three ribs showing is acceptable to me. Perhaps to her breeder also. If you're suggesting the dog has been starved, I just don't see it. She doesn't lack muscle. If her vertebrae were visible I'd say she was underweight. Unless you can show me a photo of a dog with a full ribcage showing and exposed vertebrae I can't agree that she's 'extremely thin'. Most Australian dogs are overweight. 40% of dogs are obese. See what the vet says but I'd not be embarking on a "fatten her up" program based on the scales. Most vets accept dogs at a weight far greater than is good for them anyway. She looks to be in what I would call "hard working condition". Certainly not in a condition worth shredding a breeder's reputation over. If she's young and active, its probably only a couple of days feeds between having light coverage over her ribs and having exposed rib. +1

But it gives a soft aspect (sorry, not techinal minded when it comes to photography phrasing ) I like it The others on the blog are good too, fun!

:) huga - you're going from strength to strength I just love this photo.

I always try to look at things as 'what will be, will be' - if the was to be owner was so concerned about rumours as to dim all interest then how badly did they really want the puppy?
-
I think people have to expect you'll do a background check via someone else at some point, no one in their right mind is going to send a puppy/dog to another country without checking out the purchaser! However there are (as you've mentioned above) plenty of people who attempt (and some sadly succeed) to get particular pedigrees in through the back door and that shits me to tears. In reality, I dont' think anyone wants every tom, dick and harry to know they might be importing a dog however everyone would almost certainly have someone to tell, whether that person be a a reference for the breeder or just someone to go through the entire process with.

I would cover all bases, I'd ask several people to get a variety opinions (you know how it works, some people will say good stuff and some people may not!) and I'd talk to them myself as well...I'd also try to get opinions from people not within the breed being considered.

Have you visited here TT ? ASAP Laboratory ETA: their breed disease list isn't up to date (they do offer vWD Type 1 & DM for Pems).
-
Is the wound a dog bite?
-
Take the bitch back to the breeder then, I'll be honest, if I'd sold you the bitch and you decided she must have this litter and took her elsewhere I'd be pissed!
-
Agree with everyone else... Why not purcahse a male from the same breeder?
-
Back and 2 sides will need to be covered when the rain comes and you could always do a larger roof again over what you already have? ETA: a bigger roof going a meter or so beyond the current roof on all sides...

Hi, I wont have access to a car during the designated visiting times. Unfortunately I will have to rely on a taxi. We're from Perth (couldn't get him into quarantine here as it was fully booked) so I am basically coming over just to visit the pup and then bring him home. I tried Holidaying with Dogs, Stayz.com.au and other online searches but have found nowhere that will allow 3 dogs inside for a 17 day stay. I truly feel you'll be hard pressed to find a place to meet your 3 dogs inside requirement in that area.

As soon as I put him on the table he generally sits down as I am trying to stack him. He already has a lovely stack, I just thought maybe if I trained him on the stackers he wouldn't be able to sit down!!!! If he sits down on the stackers he will fall, therefore after a couple of times on the stackers he would learn to stand up and once you get him standing nice and still on the stackers in theory he should stand on the table no worries Wouldn't it be easier to teach him a 'stand' cue? There's more positive ways of getting a stand than making a dog fall. Teach him 'stand' on the ground then add the table! He stands very nicely on the ground already. It's not like he would fall metres to the ground as I would be standing there with him, it would be more like just slipping off the stacker. I do appreciate your comments but i feel like you are critising me and making out that it would be cruel for me to use the stackers. :D Suit yourself. Dogs aren't silly though. I fail to see how using the stackers means he won't fidget once you remove them. I'm suggesting a training method I think will be more effective. If he'll stand on the ground, what's the difference on the table.?? Do you stack him using the same method in both locations? I agree with PF - I'd be looking at why he's stacking perfectly well on the ground but not on the table before introducing stackers.

This happened with a Sweepstake class at a group specialty here last year. It placed the judge in a difficult situation. It would be awful
-
In short - no... If they bred a dog and sold it and some years the later the owner decided to exhibit the dog under that judge then they could (but I don't think many would go down that road).
