Don't blame others for you not being able to afford upfront vet treatment for your dog. There really wasn't a sugar-coated way to put that, so I apologise if you take offence. Vets aren't obligated to offer their clients accounts and infact, very few do. How long have you know about your DD's school camp?

Any updates?

...and my main concern is that you now have it in your head that he WILL have a fear of going to the vet and you'll cue it to happen. If he was as groggy and unco-ordinated as you say he was then there's a very real chance it was a all a blur for him. He wasn't injured or harmed in anyway, isn't worse for wear so going along thinking he'll have a life long fear of going to the vet is just asking for trouble. Speak the vet, if you still don't feel satisfied try a new vet but regardless of those options forget the "incident" so you don't deliberately cue the dog next time you head to the vet.

I agree with Sandra

He needs to be worthy of showing (just because he was assessed as a puppy as show 'potential' doesn't automatically mean that he matured into a show quality dog). The breeders will need to re-assess the dog before anything else is done.

She needs to phone up the breeder and discuss with them, maybe he hasn't matured into a dog that could offer something in the breeding world. Phone the breeder...

due this Saturday.........Maternity haircut on Monday night & my mentor predicted babies today. Still no temp drop, no change in behaviour, no change in appetite. She has milk & had a slight showing on Monday afternoon. Have double checked that I have all the whelping supplies I need (about 100 times). Constantly checking her belly to make sure the babies are still moving. WAITING SUCKS! LOL ETA - My mentor is concerned that she doesnt quite have a big enough pelvis to whelp naturally.........Vets number on speedial just in case! Can you clarify what you mean by "slight showing" please?

I think you have to be driven by a complete passion - ignore the crap and enjoy the hobby.

actually this is not correct ... I have it in writing from VicDogs that with imports, once the paperwork is "lodged" with the office the exhibit can be entered in your name. That's not the case for CCCQ (Dogs QLD)

Just stop stressing out, the bitch will be picking up on your total panic and no doubt you're vibes are not doing her any favours. As long as she's toileting and baby is putting on wait and she's not being overly agressive she will settle down.

The best advice I can give (whilst being mindful of her surgery) is to get her routine back to "normal" as soon as possible... I'm so sorry for your loss...

He's handsome Kaff! He just looks to be going through one of "those" stages
-
I had a young dog who went through several growth stages, his last was at 14 months of age which lasted about a month. I'm not referring to you Kaff - but so many people are impatient and give up far too early IMO.

Thanks everyone, Don't get me wrong... I also have a couple of the bunning compost ones which i have used to divide patio area and they work great but wanted something much lower that i can easily step over to get to mum and puppies instead of leaning over. Someone told me to try crazy clarks but they weren't very good quality. I went into reject shop and they ahd silver ones that have stakes to keep them together and are very sturdy. They were 8 panels for $40. Thanks everyone. Ummm they aren't tall at all (unless you use them length ways to the vertical)?! longest edge on the horizontal is pretty short for the Bunnings style.
