Instead Of A Tarp Use A Pvc Table Cloth For Protection.

Yes she was - I have been wondering if there was any connection - she did not seem like my other girls right from the beginning. That's not such an uncommon thing in itself.

Over time I've had several add in some dry (and I'm ok with that, I always recommend a dry on my diet sheet should they not feel comfortable after some weeks of complete raw feeding). I've had puppy buyers coming back to me several years later saying they wished to go back to raw only and want advice on what etc. It cuts both ways, I am totally aware that not everyone is completely comfortable or in the situation to feed a complete raw diet, it's important to me that my puppy owners are aware that diets are flexible and that as a breeder I am too...I want them to be able to feel that they can pick up the phone and discuss all aspects of their puppy/adult with me (including diet) and not be shut down and told 'no' at every turn. I will however continue to raise my babies on a majority of raw food
-
First question in bold - I provide a detailed diet sheet outlining everything they need to know about: what and how much. Second question in bold - No, I raise on majority of raw, last litter was raised completely on raw.

You can have a postmortem done however it may be inconclusive. If you decide to breed her again I suggest you monitor her progesterone levels...so many cases of bitches whelping too early and second time around having prgesterone monitored and requiring prog injections to keep them from whelping early (or absorbing).
-
If I had to guess I would say a premature drop in progesterone levels. So sorry for your loss, what a heartbreaking situation, but your girl is alive and well

Does it really matter if they are "clearly" pets? If it brings more people into the show ring who cares? It should be encouraged after all isn't show numbers dropping and there are clearly pets being shown entire as well..... Yes it does be it Neuter or an All Breeds Show - The judge has to sign a certificate that says "I am clearly of the opinion that this exhibit is of such outstanding merit as to be worthy to qualify for the title of 'Champion'" I agree SwaY... More than likely though unless the dog has a DQ fault they will award it and I would guess they would be lenient towards the neuters as majority are pets. The owners may then decide to want to compete in the entire classes (well if treated nice enough) and get a show quality puppy. Nice to know that fellow exhibitors still feel the need to bitch about the neuters as well Neuter classes are like a stepping stone for pet owners and should be encourage to exhibited their "pet". Obviously every dog has it fault(s), those exhibited in the breed ring are not exempt from that however I don't feel dogs should be exhibited in the Neuter class if they display major faults or are clearly of pet quality. The title should be earned and deserved and IMO...

Feeding Pups Between Flight And Long Car Ride

They should be fed their evening tea meal, that's ample time to empty out in the morning?! -

I'd offer them water before they start the cartrip and perhaps a small handful of something (or something to chew on - chicken neck, 2x2 biscuit on the trip). I'd probably opt for the latter. -
Well she's well within her rights to only place on co-ownership so you have to decide if it's a apth you wish to travel down...there are a mryiad of outcomes to co-ownership, only you can decide. ETA: what are the terms of the co-ownership she's offering?
-
What's the problem? It can be done via a lease (all in one) either way it's not a big drama providing you're working with someone you trust.
-
So you didn't breed the bitch someone else did and you're trying to decide if you will take her on co-ownership? Do you have trust issues with the breeder? Perhaps you should discuss your concerns with them?
-
I agree with Miss Danni - I'd not co-own a bitch that was absolutely crucial to my breeding programme.
-
Yes that's right...however no one sane would enter into a co-own agreement without having everything written down and agreed upon before going ahead.
-
Almost, not quite... After BOB is judge the Reserve Challenge winner of that sex returns to the ring to compete for RUBOB, now that dog may not necessarily have placed 2nd in the class that the CC winner came from (it could have come from another class being the winner). No points for RUBOB, only the CC winners get points and of course BOB winner takes a point for each of the opposite sex beaten.

Probably in a box via courier would be your best bet.

Champion Class- Should We Have A Seperate Class?
Aziah replied to Stolzseinrotts's topic in General Dog Discussion
My thoughts on the entire matter are that if you haven't been showing long and don't totally enjoy it win or lose or have been showing for a while but whinge constantly or wish to change the system then it's probably not the place/hobby for you. That's all generally speaking of course. If it ain't broke, don't fix it ETA: we all have a whinge every now and then, but anyone whining constantly about the system in general should probably re-think participating. -

I agree with Megz here. If a dog is good enough, it will beat the titled dogs anyway. I agree with all the other 'agreers' -
Congrats TN and Jedi

If you wish to tape the ears, the sooner the better...don't wait until teething is over.
-
I agree, leasing the bitch back for the period required would be the most suitable option. ETA: if the litter is bred under the prefix of your friend there is no way a name will be accepted with your prefix in it.
-
If you hit the "Print Scrn" button (should be top right near Scroll Lock) I hope you get it sorted, what a pain!
-
So you have the dogs name and rego number and each parent name and number? Do a screen dump? ETA: sometimes we stare at stuff for so long and think it's right but it's not!
