And at 1:00 in the main ring will be the fun competitions including Waggiest Tail. Please see www.dogsvictoria.org.au/Content.asp?ID=260 for all the details.
  2. DOGS Victoria will be hosting the first National Herding Trial on the weekend of June 28-29. I'm putting together some media information for this event and was just wondering who will be coming along from interstate. If you have a great story about yourself or your dog, let me know. Anything like herding with a rescue dog, your dog having amazing instincts from its first go, hardship for either of you that you persevered through. Any of that would help us get media attention and bring this fabulous event into the public's eye. Does anyone know if Tracey is bringing Miss HCH Abigail, the first Herding Champ in Australia? :p THAT would make a great story! Does anyone know if any other dogs have yet achieved that title? Or is anyone super-close with the possibility of gaining it at the National Trials? This is just me being 'marketing lady' and throwing around ideas to try and drum up some publicity. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Kind Regards Karen
  3. Is anyone or can anyone recommend a dog groomer in SE Melbourne suburbs (Cranbourne area) who would be willing to donate an hour or two one night to do a very basic "dog grooming tips" for the DOGS Vic Companion Dog Club? We are having a Glitz and Glamour Girl's Night Out. I'm going to organise a 'pamper party' with a beauty company and have some professional photographers there to offer tips. Just need to add a groomer to the list - glitz and glamour for dogs, too, not just the humans! All I can offer in return is probably some nibblies and maybe some wine. And the chance to hang out with some nice people and their lovely pet dogs. The club is for people who don't show or compete, just have a dog for a pet so no fancy stuff necessary. Preferably it would be nice to demonstrate on their dogs, but you could bring your own if you prefer. Any takers? Any suggestions? ETA: It will be held Friday, 9 May around 7:00pm at the KCC Park in Skye, VIC Thanks!
