Rainy replied to ~mer~'s topic in Health / Nutrition / Grooming
Sorry i don't have any advice on clipping but i have used Free Itch successfully on flee scabs i bath them every 3 days and spray twice a day. -
Thanks for the info guys, there is about 10 lashes in a row on one eye and 8 on the other when looking without a microscope luckily they are fairly soft at the moment but my vet wants them removed before they become harder / thicker im tossing up between 2 Opthamologist at the moment i just want to talk to the vet again before i decide. I really appreciate the help guys THANK YOU
-
Hi all i still havnt decided on a Opthamologist yet as im getting slightly confused, some people are telling me to have the flolicals (sp?) frozen out and some are saying to get then cut out, opinions needed please. I had done a fair amount of research on the net and it seems to lean toward cutting not freezing thanks again

Poll: Have You Ever Used The Report Button
Rainy replied to sandgrubber's topic in General Dog Discussion
I havent used it and proberbly wont unless there was a severe breach of forum rules, i dont think i have the right to moderate/ police other peoples opinions, plus the fact i usually miss the drama and am left wondering what everyone is upset about -
I get what your saying brook but, people need to realise that when talking to a group of people this large that your going to recive every opinion out there, if we all gave the same opinion then it would be pretty boring and not much use being hear, i replied to a topic not long ago and got a reply that i could have gotten upset about, and for a split second i did but one breath and reread of what i posted and the reply i didnt like made me realise it could of been taken 2 ways and that the poster took it the oppisite of what i ment, i could have gotten cranky or upset and abusive but theres no point they were just expressing there opinion just as we are all entitled to do. i love this forum and take my hat off to all the "behind the scenes" people that make it waht it is.

So Valglo(UK) and Koendidda(Aust) Crossguns (Aust) to name a few are unethical breeders? They have all bred blues. Breeding for blue is unethical, the actual breeding of a blue is not a hanging offence. this is what i ment Oh yes, done it myself too a few times too.............sorry about that. In one instance daddy was a pied Cradbury from the UK, mummy was a red Australian & New Zealand Champion double grand daughter of Aust Ch Toptaurus Cincinnati (sire of 25+ champions). Sorry im not very articulate so my words dont come out right sometimes, i think the people who breed for any colour is wrong when people should breed to make staffords better, i know a little about genetics and realise that things can just pop up out of seemingly nowhere, that is nobodys fault
-
Im sorry but IMHO if they were ethical breeders thy wouldnt be breeding blue at all, I think you should sit down and have a real good think about weather you want a quality stafford or a pretty colour
-
Mine is 36" i found it better due to staffords love of streching out and is also vebopet crate
-
I haven't got one but it looks like a good idea I would just have the problem that 4 large kongs would be most of his dayley meal but I guess they are graze in the wild so maybe better then one meal

Obedience And Training - Males Vs Females
Rainy replied to LisaB85's topic in General Dog Discussion
I have not voted as i cant answer some of the questions. IME my males have been more loyal and affectionate, i wouldnt say they are easier to train but my girls were more likely to forget / ignor a recall they are called bi*ch for a reason LOL, i wouldnt know about obiediance training differance as i hvnt done this before diesel -
When we moved we put diesel in kennels for the weekend moved then picked him up he wasnt phased as he is a pretty laid back dog but i rember others saying to acclimatise dogs to new surounds slowly, i guess it depends on charlie
