Diesel has this we were in the first testing in the shoalhaven we got a cerificate and they gave us a big rosette for being in the first class it was great fun and fairly easy for obediance dogs we had 2 people turn up that had not trained in a club and they only had problems with the stranger part (one growled and the other jumped all over the guy)

Im hopeing to get my next puppy from either warley or joden kennels i know they are not in you search area but the pups are worth the extra effort :rolleyes:

yeah maybe i asked her to walk past his crate and he was even nervous then he has only met one dalmation befor and it was a pup so i dont know im going to call our vet nurse tomorrow and try and organise a meet with her to see how he reacts

Well we stuffed both yesterday ;) got to stays but i have now found out that diesel is scared of dalmations both stays were next to dalmations and as soon as they looked him he either submited and rolled over or got up to hide behind me i was pretty upset yesterday arvo (sorry dolers i didnt say good buy to) because he has only ever broken stays once :p so because we are out for the next 4 or so months we are on a mission to find a dalmation to befriend oh the joy of trials and iv only been to 4 :D

As long as the dogs have the option to go out if they want to i dont really see a problem with it, diesel is an inside dog but thats his choice he has a dog door and dose take himself out when he wants to the kids and i are in and out all day and i just let him choose to follow or not, however if he is told to either go out or stay in he still respects my leadership.

hay all, it it ok for dogs (staffy) to eat lamp shank bones ? I just noticed that my daughter mixed up the "bones" in the frige and gave diesel one of the lamb shanks insted of the dog bone cause he has slobberd all over it i figure he can have the meat but should i leave him with the bone as well or take the bone away?

Nope stuffed the drop stay at the end he was soooooo cold and tired lol he ended up standing as soon as I halted and did a 2 minut stand even the judge was laughing cause he cried the whole time but he didn't move a paw lol

Firstly congratulations on your new puppy, wishing you a long and happy doggy life This part grabed me as we had the same problem, I found a $5 single bed size polar fleese blanket at Kmart i bought the one that was total oppisite colours to our lounge, I wouldnt let diesel up on the lounge at all then we put the blanket on the lounge at night and he was allowed on the blanket. he dosent try and get on the lounge anymore because he knows he can only get up when the blanket is there, it has also helped me with the kids they know they can have cuddels on the lounge but have to ask me to put the blanket up first HTH
