Thought so just wanted to check

A close friend was due to have her bitch desexed tomorrow, this afternoon she walked out the back and found a small male dog humping her she dosnt think they tied but who knows (we thought the yard was secuer but this dog dug in under the fence) Is it ok for her to still send her in to be desexed ?

Unfortunatly It will be hard to find a club with small classes, alot of these classes are run by voluenteers so usually there is only just enough insturctors for each class, if you want more one on one type of instuction you may want to try and fine privet classes i know of one in nowra that is pretty good but dont know of any in wollongong but if you ask at the clubs they may be able to help you

Could you pave it a part at a time? ETA if you like the look of the pebbles there are pavers that you can get that look like a pebbled path

Would you be able to erect temp fencing and turf a few meters at a time then move the fence as each new patch is set? We are about to turf a 6msq garden ant that is costing us $80

Diva, Im not sure where to find the laws about this but i do know they are in place, i know of 2 people that have been booked for this already apparently its the same points and fine as haveing a passanger with no seat belt. OP you did the right thing i would have done exactly the same. I hope you are all ok and the incedent was reported.

I must of interprated some of the post's wrong (i dont want to quote them because i dont want to pick on anyone) my interpratation from some of the post's was that the dogs whined etc untill they were fed. ETA : Can any one tell us if from a behaviourst point of view if there is any right and worng in this?

Firstly, im confused i was reading the time thread and Im not trying to pick on anyone i just dont understand, When did dogs become the boss? I was always tought that if you did nothing else with thier training you always had to train respect for food. I have never fed a whineing, wimpering, damanding dog. Im the pack leader and they eat when i say there for none of my dogs have ever "asked" to be fed wether it be by whineing barking or even a nuge of my hand or body. Could anyone explain to me why it is expected that they behave in a manner that we choose yet at the same time some let thier dogs dictate when to be fed? Sorry if this dosnt make sence

An ancient breed of dog has nuzzled its way into the running to be the next big status symbol for China's rich. An 11-month-old Tibetan Mastiff male puppy has gained the title of the 'world's most expensive dog' after being bought for 10 million yuan ($1.5 million), the London Telegraph reported. It was purchased for this large sum by a coal baron from the north of China who will reportedly use him as stud for other breeders, making as much as 100,000 yuan each time. Kathryn Hay breeds Tibetan Mastiffs in Tasmania and has travelled to China to visit their exclusive mastiff kennels. Outside of China these dogs attract sums of $3000 to $12,000, but there, she has seen puppies with price tags of $870,000. "In China it is like the national symbol, everybody knows what the breed is and the history," she said. "You can't really compare it to a dog in Australia. It is known as almost having a lion in your backyard. It really is the ultimate symbol that you've made it." Because of their rarity, Tibetan Mastiffs are exported all around the world. Hay has shipped three dogs from Europe to Australia and has also sold puppies to people in Singapore, the US and New Zealand. She says dogs from the top Chinese breeders are highly prized because they are seen as more prestigious. "Some of the dogs I saw in China just took my breath away," she says. "They looked really raw, when you're a Tibetan purist you can see the origins of the dog." A large dog, Tibetan Mastiffs can weigh more than 60kg and live for 10 to 14 years. Hay says they are good for people with allergies as they only shed their coat once a year. Regarded as one of the world's oldest breeds, Tibetan Mastiffs were traditionally used for guard duties. Genghis Khan is believed to have kept them. These guardianship traits still exist in the breed today, Hay says. "You've got a very untouched, unspoilt breed," she says. "They can be great pets but you have to be a strong owner because they're not overly domesticated." The good news for potential owners is that despite their size, Hay reports they don't eat too much. They might be good protectors, but they are also fond of lazing around.

I saw some cheep gazebos for sale in my local coles on friday i think they were $39.00 there were also some advertised at bunnings last month that were around the $80 mark

Thanks for the pics missymoo, but i cant use the first 2 my son would be devistated just looking at them plus i think the teacher would be slightly pissed if the whole calss ended up in tears, i might try and enlarge the last one it dosnt look to bad. Hesapandabear, if the kids were a bit older (there only 7) i would proberbly use them, i might keep them for the next idiot that asks why they need to brush there dog so much at dog club
