Has this been made official? I know there has been alot of discustion about this lately but i just got sent this LINK Anyone know for sure? Copy and pasted: Under Victorian Legislation the following breeds are identified as "restricted"; meaning they can't be bred or imported into the state. Dangerous dog legislation is not the same as the restricted breed regulations. Any dog may be declared dangerous (from a small Chihuahua to a Great Dane). The dog's size or breed is not the issue; it is the dog's behaviour. Staffordshire bull terrier.

Apparently it's just as risky to have your dog without a collar. I guess it's a case of weighing up the risks and your own circumstances and then doing what you feel is right (rathering than claiming that other people are doing it wrong, just because they happen to disagree). For my own dogs, they wear their collars at all times (and their council tags, as if the law here). I'm willing to take the risk of them choking (which over five years, two resident dogs and 20+ foster dogs has never happened) rather than risk them escaping and not being returned to me because they "look" unowned. Do you want to know what I recommend to adopters? Neither. I explain the risks of both choices and allow them to decide for themselves without ever trying to guilt them into my choice (the very thing I took issue with in your post- implying those who choose to keep collars on their dogs are knowingly putting their dogs at some terrible risk). I deffienatly understand having to have council tags on dogs and if that is the law in anyone's area i would not tell them to ignore that. I would do it too if this was the rule in my council but with great caution. Reading back i understand that could be interprated that way, i should have said "In My Opinion it is just to risky." i did not mean to imply people are knowingly putting thier dogs at risk, just that a hell of alot of people dont realise how esey it is for a dog to get caught up. Iv never guilted anyone in to my choice nor would i, i recomend people to not leave collars on unsupervised, Some have taken that on, others have not its thier choice.

I don't know. I would act one way if I found a flea infested, anemic very young kitten, and another if I found a well-fed, healthy looking animal... In fact I have found many obviously loved pets, and always taken them straight to the vet if they don't have a number I can ring on them. But if I found what would appear to be either a stray or a victim of abuse (or perhaps extremely unlikely circumstances such as being stolen and escaped - is it some sort of rare pure breed even?), well I would say I think it's been through enough and it's time to start a nice life. The last thing a tiny young kitten needs is months at the pound... This is the bit i dont understand!!! the dogs and cats are only held for a limited amount of time. If you really want to do the right thing you put your name on the animal when you hand it in and you get first call if the animal is not claimed. then go ahead and take it to a no kill shelter if you wish.

Just goes to show how nieve you are, personaly i know 4 dogs that have hung themselves all due to collers being caught up, also another that was thanfully rescued just in time with teath being caught in another dogs collar. I had a blond moment one day and left diesels collar on when i went to the corner store and came home to him crying with a tree branch lodged in his collar. I acctually recomend people to not leave collars on unsupervise as it is just to risky. However with people like you around it makes me wonder how many dogs / cats are just kept insted of following the rule's and handing them in to the appropriate people. If you really cared you would do the right thing and not be so selfish next time.

Ok first sorry to drag up an old topic but im a little confused with my new wall's hubby was purchasing them for me on his way home from work, he got one wall from BBQ galore and headed home half way home he realised i asked for 2 walls and stopped at another camping store and got another wall. Well i'v just got them out of the car and they are in different bags one blue and one black (the blue bag is slightly smaller) but on the bag they both have the same name (Deluxe Heavy Duty solid wall kit 3M coverage) so i got them out and they look the same just folded in a different manner. So im wondering if they are the same and oztrail just changed thier packageing recently or if i have 2 different walls? I know the best idea would be to put the gazebo up and try them out but due to flooding i cant put it up in my yard at the moment. Thoughts???

Whilst you have one crate moving it would be the best plan. I started this way, i eventualy bought a second "soft" crate for the lounge room this double's as the crate i take with me to training, and other places i might need it (much lighter for transport).
