  1. One of my Sibes loves to walk around snapping at the air when she gets excited. I think it's cute
  2. Isn't that kind of obvious...?
  3. I used to go to my local Petwise store - $5 per dog, which included use of the hydrobath, Fido's shampoo, and use of the Oldfield dryers. No time limits either. These days I have my own hydrobath and dryer, so I have no need to go there anymore. But it was a bloody bargain, I became quite the regular
  4. 8 Are you not coming down? Thanks I would love to have done Canberra Royal this year but I have to work Perhaps next year...
  5. Can anyone tell me how many Jap Spitz please?
  6. Durack is only half an hour up the road from me, but I love doing the country shows aswell and will travel up to about 4 hours one-way if camping is permitted. Not too keen on doing a 4-hour trip twice in the one day!
  7. Bloody hell, I'm glad Fletcher is okay :D You must be so shaken up :D
  8. Shower/toilet facilities... are they decent, far from the rings, etc? I'm camping all weekend so I'm hoping they're half decent :D
  9. Give me a country show any day of the week I love them. Great atmosphere, I have a blast camping, and it's great to get out of the house for the weekend and go somewhere new. I do my fair share of city shows too, but the most fun I have had showing has been at the country shows.
  10. Well done, she looked like such a little pro
  11. I only enter the pointscore for a bit of fun, so it doesn't really bother me.
  12. Forgot to watch it Might have to see if/when the repeat is on...
  13. Nope, I don't think it's odd. You should call your dog whatever you want to call it! I really wanted a Japanese name for my show dog (Jap Spitz) but unfortunately none of the Japanese boy names that I liked seemed to suit. He ended up with the name Kyza, simply 'cos I really liked it and it suits him. A friend thought it was weird because 'Kaiser' is a German name, but pfffft - who cares. My boy ended up with a Japanese show name instead
  14. Although I've only ever seen photos and never met him in the flesh, my all-time favourite JS is Aust Ch Okkoyoma's Cola D'Becca (Imp NWY). He is the dog that made me fall in love with this breed, and I now own a double-grandson/great-grandson
  15. Don't feel too bad, the CCCQ are certainly not about to win any 'website design' awards Although I do hear they are launching a whole new website soon. Hopefully it will be a bit more user-friendly!
  16. The schedules are usually available on the CCCQ website here: http://www.cccq.org.au/shows.html The shows commence at 5:30pm both days.
  17. They are All-Breeds shows, so all of the breeds you mentioned should be there. Fox Terriers are in the Terrier group (Group 2). Irish Wolfhounds are in the Hound group (Group 4). Kelpies are in the Working Dogs group (Group 5). Dobes are in the Utility group (Group 6). Each group is judged in a seperate ring, with all breeds in the group being judged in alphabetical order. Hope this helps
  18. There are shows on at Durack this weekend - Friday night, Saturday night, and Sunday morning
  19. I've come to the conclusion that these sorts of people either: a) think the world revolves around them, or b) are so genuinely stupid that they don't realise the consequences of their actions, or c) are just plain damn lazy
  20. Ohhhhhhhhh why didn't they have toys like that when I was a kid?!?
  21. I agree. I know of way too many registered breeders who breed with dogs that have known health problems.
  22. My Sibes love eating whole chicken frames, I buy them fresh from the local butcher. Can't say I've ever noticed a bad odour, they smell pretty much the same as raw chicken breast.
