I'm in So long as I don't already have something planned on the day.
-
I can understand the breeders concerns, as BYB are an increasing problem in our breed.

I show a table breed, and a relatively rare one with usually no more than one dog per class. It only takes me a few seconds to stack my dog on the table, yet this happens to me all the time. The dog is barely on the table and already the judge is checking the bite. Although I suppose the judge does get a good look at the dogs stacked during the Challenge lineup...

Flea Treatment For A Dog That Cant Have A Spot On?
Miss B replied to Oscar (AmBull)'s topic in Health / Nutrition / Grooming
I use Comfortis and swear by the stuff. I have not seen a single flea in months. -
Jap Spitz are BIG dogs in small bodies

I have an OKS single-berth trolley, it's sturdy and has never given me any troubles... love it. I have also just purchased a 2-berth trolley from Vebo Pet Supplies, it is reasonably sturdy and well-constructed but the finish is not the same quality as my OKS one. Next time I would go another OKS.

I don't have much to add, I just want to say nice choice of breed You will have to come and join us in the Spitz thread once your little bundle of white fluff arrives...

Question On Flea And Worm Products?
Miss B replied to Grace1979's topic in Health / Nutrition / Grooming
For dogs over 45kg, you can use a combination of Sentinel chews. Eg if your dog was 48kg, you could dose her with a 22-45kg chew plus a 0-4kg chew, covering a total bodyweight of up to 49kg. Hope this makes sense -

The barking would be a big concern for me. I would be firm and tell her to make alternative arrangements.

Caboolture Kennel Club Show 24 April
Miss B replied to HOGWARTZBOXERS's topic in General Dog Discussion
I sent my entries Express Post yesterday :D -
Hi lady0421, I had a look at the website you posted and there seems to be a lot of suspicious looking ads on there, be wary of scammers and puppy farmers/backyard breeders (sadly there are quite a few of these in our breed). The price you could expect to pay for a JS pup from an ethical registered breeder would be $800-$1,000. When are you looking to get a pup? As Kimyata mentioned earlier, Esilanna Japanese Spitz (breeder of my boy) have a litter due to be born next month, let me know if you want any further details or contact info

Garlic To Keep Fleas At Bay?
Miss B replied to all that glitters's topic in Health / Nutrition / Grooming
When I was a child, we would add a teaspoon of minced garlic to the dogs' dinner every night. My mum thought it would keep the fleas at bay. -
Apparently they do exist, but no-one seems to be able to remember where they can be bought from. I need one too

Thank you everyone for the information

Hate to say it, but as much as I love my dogs - I would not risk my life for them.
