Cavalier King Charles Spaniel ,new Syringomyelia Information
Miss B replied to bet hargreaves's topic in In The News
Very interesting, thanks for the link. My boy has CM, but not Syringomyelia. -
I'm just wondering how people feel about entering under International judges when your breed is not recognised in their home country.
-
Some people do, we will be doing ours this year

I certainly am

The dog pavilion has 2 benching areas - an upstairs one and a downstairs one (where the rings are). Everything is totally indoors. Each breed is allocated a benching area so you don't have any say about where you'll be for the day. As mentioned already, the toileting area is abysmal, it is just a big concrete room basically. And you have to wrestle your way through the public to get there. Umm that's all I can think of for now. +1

This is the bit that I'm interested in: I've never seen a score sheet like this before.
-
Hi Rappie, I understand the 0-4 scoring system but apparently there is a specific method for testing also?? Quote from a UK website: So far I can only find references to this testing method on UK breed sites. There is a score sheet which can be viewed here: http://www.english-toy-terrier.co.uk/Vet...0Form%20(2).doc It looks to be more like the way hip scores are done, rather than grading the patellas by physical exam only.

I am so very sorry for your loss, Greytmate :) ;) Deepest condolances to you and your family during this difficult time. RIP beautiful Leo, there will be another star shining brightly in the sky tonight

Does anyone know much about this method, or have links to any good information?

Just hoping someone could check something in the catalogue for me

Another vote for Uncle Albers here... my 2 Sibes are doing very well on it. -
I've got Spitz breeds... I've learnt never to expect anything

Well done!!

She has a lot of very happy customers, what's wrong with that?

There's a bunch of those on Ebay. Very cool. That is awesome. My OH has a 5DMk2... might have to see if I can track one down for him.

I don't know if I chose my breeds, I think they chose me When I met my OH over 6 years ago, he had a beautiful male Sibe. I had never really had much to do with the breed prior to that (other than admiring them from afar!) but his boy won me over. He was also the start of my love for Spitz breeds in general. Eventually OH and I moved in together and after a couple of years, we added 2 more Sibes to the family. Then one day I was browsing the internet and came across a photo of a beautiful small white dog with a fluffy coat and black eyes. Thus my love affair with the Japanese Spitz began. Despite the fact that we had no real intentions to get another dog, my boy Kyza joined us just under a year later. I now show 2 of these dynamic little Spitz and will be adding to the family later this year
