  1. That's the spirit! (reference to your other thread) Day 008 - no tripod, no speedlite. Quick rush to get *something* before the light disappeared outside! It's going to be an interesting weekend - my partner stole half the gear for a family 'do'!!!!
  2. I have one that I got direct from Canon - it looks like this: I don't know what it's actually called but the website I got that photo from says it's called "Canon Remote Wireless Control For Canon EOS d-SLR Cameras RC-5" - I just asked a friend who works for canon to get it for me and he did. EXCEPT!!!! Just check - if I remember correctly, you have a 40D? This does NOT work for cameras without infrared such as the 40D. After doing some research I decided on this one - Cactus Wireless Shutter (C3). You can really only get it here, but I got it within a week. Cost around $30.
  3. I Loooooooooooooooove my DOOG bag! BUT some people find it too small. It's perfect for what I carry (keys, poo bags, phone) and it's all out of the way. There have been quite a few threads about houndbags, etc and which one is the best. Maybe try a search?
  4. They're really handy! My old one was getting to be a PITA and I have a few ideas that require me to be far away from the camera. And now I can do them! Just gotta get used to the timing of the wireless one - there's a slight delay (half a second or so).
  5. And a super pleased one at that! I got my wireless remote today! No more having to stand an arm's length away or use the timer! This baby has a 15m range!!!! ;)
  6. lic - love the teddy! Pretty boring SP from me today... Figured I should do something 'normal' to balance out my silly ones. Day 007
  7. Two dogs, two leads. One on either side. Jedi hangs back and walks behind us, Ahsoka walks in front so I end up in the middle. Usually when I am walking more than 2 (friends dog + my two) I have 3 leads and usually hold Jedi + other dog in one hand, and Ahsoka in the other. I don't care where they walk - so long as they don't pull and they stay on the side they've chosen to walk on.
  8. That wet --> dry poodle is hilarious!! I have never seen a wet poodle before I guess it's much the same as when Jedi gets wet! Drowned rat!
  9. Gorgeous corgies!! Welcome! Welcome! Welcome! Thanks so much I don't know that it's amazing - I have soooo much to learn still! I think Ruth and Serena would be better people to ask! But to answer your question - I guess just start experimenting! Once you start dabbling in different processing styles you will find what works nicely for your photos and what doesn't. You should have seen me last year - I went through all sorts of phases where EVERYTHING would be B&W and really high contrast with blown out whites... and then for a little while I'd put a texture on anything and everything... and then I had a fiddle with varying tones and saturation... and it just continued like that through lots of different phases. So my tip? Get an editing program that you're comfortable with or want to get acquainted with (e.g. photoshop, paintshop pro, lightroom... whatever) and start fiddling! I look back at some of my stuff now and I think it's really, really awful and I would edit them completely different now, but that's how we learn!
  10. Depends. It can range from about 12-14kg to about 20kg depending on bitch/dog and type.
  11. Once you get used to it, it's okay. If you get stuck just post here and I'm sure someone will be able to help.
  12. That's okay, kja I'm sure people will be checking here for photos, too - I don't think you're the only one who is using PB. She looks so peaceful!!! So peaceful that I would try my hardest not to wake her!
  13. I agree with Armahani... Food seems to do the trick
  14. Ooh I don't think I've seen much of your photography before KnucklesDutchnUs! Can't wait to see photos of your doggies!
  15. I tend to stay up late and do them but usually there's not much intensive editing. I know how I like my photos to look and I can get there pretty quickly. I don't take it too seriously. For a basic shot that I'm happy with it's about a 5 minute fix-up job. For others that are photoshopped with objects removed, etc obviously that takes longer but it's not something I do every day. When I'm studying and particularly close to exams I found that I couldn't fit in editing every day. I saved up a few days worth and squeezed it in somewhere. It became very frustrating when I was so far behind, but what can you do!?
  16. That's a good idea, but kinda annoying to have duplicates on my stream! Oh well, I'll see how I go. I love love love love lovvvvvvvvve that shot of Roc! I cannot WAIT to see what you come up with for him this year!!
  17. No prob, Becks!!!! Feel free to ask anything! What do ppl think about multiple dogs? The official 52 weeks group says only ond dog but personally I don't care. What does everyone else think? The project has to be something you want to do, so I say decide what you'd like to do! No point in conforming to others if you're not going to enjoy the project!
  18. I have no idea, actually... Late night insanity usually!
  19. If you want a very thin one, I got one from Airdogs - http://airdogs.com.au/agility/product.php?...=255&page=1
  20. Hi Bluey!! Looks like you've found your 'spot' in the car!
