  1. I run with my two... Ahsoka sets the pace out the front (she's a great personal trainer!) and Jedi hangs out behind me. Works really well!! They know when we're running I don't stop for anything except roads - too bad if that tree smells extra-good! They are asked to toilet before we start running.
  2. 2/52 - A Hard Day's Work (after his first official therapy dog visit)
  3. No, perfectly normal. Soaks used to do the same before her face grew into her tongue
  4. Day 017 - having a Bad Photo Day today... This will have to do 'coz I'm moving on!
  5. Yep, already read it, thanks Helen!! At the moment I'm completely on the fence and hoping someone will give me some mind-altering advice. Maybe I should just go for the cheapest one I can find...
  6. So I want to buy a little point and shoot, but I want it to have full manual capability. I narrowed it down to the two Canons mostly based on the fact that I can, if I want, put the speedlite on them. I'm mostly just going to have it for uni so that I don't have to take my big lug of a 40D with me! So it will be mostly street photography and happy snaps. But now I don't know which way to go... The G10 or the G11!!!!! I don't really care about the G11's reduction in MP's or the new flip out screen. I also don't care about the loss of voice recording or whatever. The rest of the changes are much of a muchness. They are roughly the same price, surprisingly though I would be able to get a second hand G10 for about $100 less. Any thoughts?
  7. Oh geez, I think I wouldn't have done it either, if I had to run out and back every time!!! I'd get nice and fit though! You should give some SP's a go! The remotes aren't very expensive (about $30).
  8. Depends on the day... Day 12 was 5 outtakes Day 13 had 4 outtakes Day 14 had 6 outtakes (all of those were just pulling different facials, etc ) Compared to... Day 15 (the one on the jetty) had about 25!!!!!! Half of them I had lined myself up incorrectly and wasn't even in the shot! Day 16 (the one with the lake behind me) I took about 10 shots and then the wind came up and I took another 6, which is what the chosen shot was out of. Day 15 was taken with my 50mm (I didn't bring any other lenses)... I guess I was about 10-15m away from the camera? The remote is so convenient! You push the button on the remote and it tells the camera to take the shot, so you can stay where you are. Mine allows you to half-press the button, too so you can focus with the remote. It would certainly be very annoying to have to set the 10 second timer and run out to take the shot every time!
  9. Thanks Clover! I'm struggling a little with the outdoor SP's!! It's so hard to know if you're standing in the right place!!!!!
  10. My girl (18 months old) does it when her doggie friends come to visit our house. The level of excitement she gets is unbelievable so I don't blame her! I'd pee my pants too if I were that excited! If she was doing it whenever ANYONE visited the house, I would be putting her away and trying to minimise the level of excitement.
  11. Spent the last two days at my parents' place... I wish I could visit more often! It's so relaxing! Day 015 Day 016
  12. I don't know how big our yard is in an actual measurement... I guess you'd classify it as "medium" sized. I have a Keeshond and Finnish Lapphund... But again, it's just a big toilet. It is rarely used by the dogs unless for zoomies or flyball training (we have a flyball drag set up in the yard). The dogs live inside and we have a park 3 houses down and are out doing dog sports most nights of the week.
  13. My Lapphund has been called all sorts of things and the conversation that Armahani put up is VERY common... But my most favourite was when we were standing outside the ring ready to go in for breed class at a show... And someone coming up to me and saying, "What cross is she?" Uhhh... Dude... Last time I checked they don't allow cross breeds in the ring!!! :D I had to ask him to repeat himself because I thought I heard him wrong! It turns out he had a BC x Sibe and thought that my girl looked a lot like his dog. Which was true - I did meet the dog and there was a bit of resemblance to the untrained eye. Meanwhile my Keeshond as a puppy was thought to be a GSD!!!!!!!!!!!! WHAAAAAAAT?! We did come across a lovely couple with an Elkhound at the beach and they remarked, "What lovely Finnish Lapphunds!" I almost DIED!!!!!!
  14. FP - I LOVE Supernatural!! I much prefer that similarity than Twilight! Oink - love the piggies!!!!! Day 014 - time for a hair cut!
  15. Yep, definitely colour. I have an idea for my 2nd week photo... Just gotta get organised and do it!
  16. I don't think it's an issue either. As long as there is lots of quality time spent with the dog when they are home. For us, when we are away the whole day (7am-6pm), as soon as we get home to when we go to bed is spent with the dogs doing something - whether that be training, cuddling, walking or playing. They get a good 5 hours every night! Just because someone is home or has short working hours, doesn't mean they are going to spend time with the dog.
  17. If I were in Taree, I would be the first to put up my hand... I hope you can find someone.
