  1. Cider is a very lucky girl, she has one of the best trainers/handlers around! I have a 3 year old who struggles with attention, so don't beat yourself up MM I just know that with my next dog, focus and attention is one of the very first key things I will be teaching! I didn't know it was so important back then :D You learn so much with each and every dog! Yep, like not to let your OH 'train' your new puppy when he said he wanted a dog of his own to train.... and then find out that he has hardly done anything with her (except create problems) and she's almost 4 months old!!! And then *someone* has to pick up the pieces! I'm STILL trying to get rid of bad habits he created and she's almost 2! Lesson learned - next dog he isn't allowed to touch!!
  2. I'll be there on April 1st with the lappies... Can't wait! We have roughly 20 entered! That's a record for us in Sydney! Oh yeah and I'll be there for the flyball... Friday, maybe some of Saturday and Monday.
  3. I got my articles from there, Huski - they're good! I will have to get back into it too...
  4. I half-started scent with Jedi but I've been sooo flat out that I just forgot and now it's been months! Since ness was here, actually!
  5. We swim our guys at the lake, too... Never had a problem, but we hose them off as soon as they get out of the water.
  6. My dogs are companions first and foremost... The training is just something the dogs and I both enjoy doing together. I think half of why they do well in their training is because it's fun for both of us and that involves a lot of mucking around! I don't think you have to treat training seriously to have well trained dogs - just as long as you're consistent and make time for training!
  7. I do formal run throughs about once a month, sometimes more often and I get a friend to call some heelwork patterns every second week.
  8. I play my dogs off each other, too... We do drop/sit/stand races
  9. They're working out the no sheep issue... just taking longer than they had originally thought.
  10. Jedi's coat makes a good tear catcher too...
  11. Jedi's first pass in obedience... Horrrrrrahhh!!
  12. Wow, sounds like Jock and Denver had a very busy day! Congrats!
  13. Yay Kavik!! Oh and so Soaks doesn't miss out on the lime light... Her last 3 or 4 SFE's have been PERFECT!!! I think she's finally got it - she even did a perfect SFE in the show ring today and that involves a much more thorough exam including teeth! If she can handle that from a stranger (usually she bum wiggles in the show ring), she can handle an OB SFE!
  14. Thanks everyone!!! I almost can't believe it! You hit the nail on the head! I know, I can't believe the difference between then and now. I never thought we would get to here! At least not this quickly! I think I owe Jedi's vet dermatologist a HUGE thankyou!
  15. :D Congratulations!!!!! I have no idea how long you have waited, but it sounds like you are very, very happy. :D Well done guys! It's not so much how long it's been... More that I thought we would never trial again since he got sick (severe atopic dermatitis). So for him to be in a ring and not scratch and then to PASS! I am thrilled!
  16. OMGGGGGGGGGGG!!!!!!!!! WE PASSSED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! 90/100 (dodgy dodgy fast pace and a few missed positions but NO SCRATCHING!!!!!!!) and as predicted... I cried. Haha!
  17. WAHOOOOOO!!!!!! Congratulations!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! You'll have to enter internationally more often!!
  18. I think the whole of Australia will hear the squeal of excitement I'll open my windows...
