I just started Crate Games with my two today... It's hilarious!! They both like their crates but now I think Jedi is obsessed with it! I tried to release him out of the crate and he didn't want to budge! Talk about high level of reinforcement for the crate! We got over that and I've never seen him so enthusiastic to get into his crate and this is only after one session! Soaks loves it too - she was wagging her tail the whole time.

Yep and it's not unheard of for me to have a few days like that every week. I wish I could take days off to train for it! You're very lucky and Kynan will do so well!
-
I hope you find someone... I would offer my dogs but they are both under 15kg, so not suitable.

That's excellent!!! We haven't been able to get out for a couple of days because of my uni schedule... I left home at 645am yesterday and got home at 8pm! Hardly gives you much time to go train unless you want to go in the pitch black!

In answer to your question, Ness... We train: Mondays: OB club Thursdays: Flyball club Fridays are agility (if we go) and Saturdays are herding (if it's on). The other days I will usually do some stuff inside if it's dark by the time I get home but they have at least 2 whole days off per week.

Delta Society Policy On Raw Feeding
TerraNik replied to Tintin Jac's topic in Health / Nutrition / Grooming
Yeah, I guess so if Delta Society Australia bring in the same policy! Personally, I would rather feed my dogs BARF than change them to a commercial food just so I could continue with the Pet Partners program... Currently you are allowed to feed them raw provided they are not working in a hospital (and then I think it's only raw chicken they're not allowed to have due to getting positive E. Coli swabs). -
She sure did try to tell you to hurry up and let her have the donut, didn't she! Lovely enthusiasm though!

Jedi and I just got back from doing 6.5km! That's the farthest we've ever gone! Considering he was an unfit little guy when we first started (would tire out after doing 3 4-jump recalls at flyball!), he has come a long way! We have trouble going any faster than about 11.5km/hr so I'm going to work on that with him.

All the time!! I do finishes, presents, stays, turns and lots of tricks

That's awesome!

I know! I made a pretty graph of Jedi's itch scores and when we had given him pred -- the vet was very impressed But it showed that his reliance on the pred has diminished significantly (used to be every 2nd day, then every week and now he gets the odd one every couple of weeks) and yet his itch scores have come down to about 6-7/10. He said we still have a way to go with it, but there's definitely an improvement. Jedi's antibiotic course is for 3 weeks and then I have to let him know if it's made a difference. He said that once the infection's treated his scores should drop significantly. So yay! Yep!! I can't wait for his first novice trial! I'm really excited!

Probably more of a brag than anything else, but Jedi and I just got back from his review with his dermatologist.... Looks like Jedi's improving! The vet is happy with Jedi's progress - particularly that he is no longer dependent on cortisone (steroids). He does have a massive staph infection all over his body though - so he's on a long course of antibiotics. The vet said that once the infection is gone he should scratch even less!! So we're continuing with his immunotherapy and seeing where we're at in 3-6 months time. The vet was really pleased that Jed has been doing so well in the obedience ring despite his itchiness.
