  1. That was what I was worried about! you know how some dogs like collies and sibes NEED crazy exercise... Ahsoka and Jedi are soooo cute terranik!!! Loving their youtube videos! Can Hazel pretend to be a lappie then? She doesn't even need to pretend!!! She can come along anyway! Our last picnic we had a few prospective owners there who had brought their non-lappies along!! Here's the video from last time - you can see the variety of breeds!
  2. I'd be up for a spitz meet with my two! Ahsoka is even more of a machine at the moment, Corvus Crazy lappie!
  3. I'm in regular contact with my two breeders, but I wouldn't say that we're "close".
  4. Oh definitely!!!!!!!! If you haven't seen a dermatologist - get a referral. That was the single best thing we have done for Jedi since he got his allergies... Prior to that we were struggling big time! The dermatologist did all the testing for what he was allergic to and then gave us 3 options - steroids, immunotherapy or atopica. We chose immunotherapy with steroid assistance while we got started just to give him a better quality of life. Our backup was atopica, following by steroids. I will be forever thankful to our dermatologist - amazing results!
  5. Atopica was going to be our backup in case immunotherapy didn't work. Have you thought about trying Immunotherapy? All I know about it is that it can work for some dogs, but it is very expensive. Our Jedi has severe atopic dermatitis (allergic to house dust, dust mites and food mites) and after only 4 months of immunotherapy he is a new dog! He was so bad that he had to wear a bucket on his head and be physically restrained from scratching or he would make himself bleed. He also pulled out the majority of his fur. He responded extremely fast to his injections and is now completely off steroids and hardly scratches at all anymore!
  6. Soaks was (and still is!) the same... Totally normal! Great fun to watch!
  7. I'm the same .... I've not told the OH yet but I'm hoping to get a session with her for the boys when the warmer weather comes around! We're planning a celebratory photo shoot with Ruth once Jedi's coat grows back... He'll probably enjoy the change - having someone ELSE shove a camera in his face instead of me!
  8. If I had to choose someone to take photos of my dogs - it would be Ruth . Absolute quality work!
  9. So did Millie Instead of having to teach her from scratch that stand still means stand STILL, I have just had to finetune it and we're almost there. Ruby on the other hand Stand still to her means jump all over the examiner! At least Abby doesn't do that!!!! But she just doesn't have the concept of not moving paws yet.
  10. SFE is the bane of my existence at the moment. I'm trying to get Woofenpup's Abby ready for trial (CCD) and I have just been ignoring SFE It's in the too hard basket! Jedi was so easy to train - he came with a SFE!
  11. The problem I have at the moment with stays is the way Daisy will occasionally bark at me if she's bored I'll feel terrible if she does it in the ring!! Where do you look when you are doing stays with them? I stare at Jedi's feet! Occasionally I will look at his face just to make sure he's paying attention but I found that if I always looked him in the eye he looked like he was waiting for his next cue! So staring at his feet works for us - he knows he can relax a little. And then I sing my Incy Wincy Spider to myself...
  12. That is hilarious!!!!! Love the photos!
  13. Best way to do nails in my opinion! I have a Dremel Stylus: It's really easy to use!!
  14. Did you have Ahsoka at the nationals last year? I think I asked you if he was a husky or malamute I did the same thing at the club yesterday and it turned out the dog in question has the same parents as Ahsoka (came up because I commented not many of them in flyball and she should come over and have a go). No Soaks was in season during the nationals but I was there. She also wasn't trained up at the time - she had only been in training for a few weeks. The only other lappie there was only 3 months old and is not related to Soaks. So not sure who you are speaking of... ??? The dog related to Ahsoka is a chocolate coloured pup called Finn that joined up at our club on the weekend. Three months old sounds about right for the one I saw at the nationals. Ah, right!! That's awesome! That means there are 3 flyball lappies in the country lol The little puppy you saw at nationals is Woofenpup's Demi. She's a DOLer!

  16. I reckon!!!! I think I could handle 3... maybe 4... But 7????? No way!
  17. Woohoo!!!!!!! That's really awesome!! Well done!!!!
  18. We're still in novice at the moment, but Jedi is trained to do COP. I don't really see the point of the broad jump.
  19. There's a bunch of those on Ebay. Very cool.
