Sounds great Mas! Soaks has been given the all clear! Her pad is healing and she's allowed to do.... wait for it... ZOOMIES!!!!!!!!!!!!!! So long as she's wearing a boot. She is thrilled! The stitches are out and we're allowed to slowly build her back up.

Fable met Shell's Zero today! Zero came over to meet Fable this afternoon... He is such a sleaze!! Zero loves his lappie babies... This is him with Aurora Rose... And with Soaks... Fable decided chewing Shell's shoes were a good idea... And finally... A family portrait! Not bad for a 9 week old puppy who hasn't been taught sit or stay yet! I LOVE YOU SOAKIE!

Our new addition (8 weeks old) learned what the bell meant within 2 hours of being here just by us ringing it whenever we opened the door to take her out. She rings the bell when she wants to go outside. But as I said before - she is still taken outside for regular toileting but I think this technique really helps to speed up toilet training because it's such a good communication tool.

HORAAAAAAAAAAAY!! Ahsoka has been on crate rest for 3 weeks and she's going batty... So I decided I'd re-start her scent work and also start her tracking training again - no running involved! Her previous issue was that she would pick up the UNSCENTED article with about 90% accuracy! ;) So I've left it for a few months. Tonight she got up to 4 metals (1 scented) and picked the scented one 3 out of 4 times! FINALLY!!!!!

That's the plan! It'll be great to see how she grows up! Great! I imagine the start will be more like the 365 project though ;) Yeah I think I have enough for a 365 photo PER DAY project!

Ahsoka thinks she is AWESOME! She is so gentle with her and plays tug with Fable and lets her steal the toy and do a little zoomie with it. Soaks is allowed short play sessions with her because of her foot, so I think she's enjoying the extra company. Jedi has been amazing! He is a grump and HATES strange dogs coming near him when he's sleeping and yet he let Fable sleep on him in the car!! He also let her eat out of his food bowl the other morning and climb into his Hound House with him!!! She has been given a puppy passport I think Toilet training is going well! She's had 1 or 2 little accidents but she started ringing the bell to go outside within 2 hours of being at home! :D So she's now put together the bell and getting to go outside - now we just need to introduce the toilet training to it.

She is VERY spirited!!! Shes cheeky, crazy and soooo confident! She's the perfect temperament for us. Lappie grooming is probably a lot less than you think! An adult coat rarely matts and only about 15 min per week of brushing is needed if they have a big coat.

Fable is named after Fable the Jedi in Star Wars, but we thought it was doubly cool with the computer game reference. OH is a geek too. So now we have 3 dogs with Star Wars names! I KNOW! And I only JUST updated my sig! Jedi has been amazing with her. He is normally a bit of a grump with new dogs and will tell them off if they wake him up or if they get near him while he's in his Hound House. But so far he has let her use him as a pillow while he was asleep, allowed her to climb into his Hound House with him, let her stick her gob in his food bowl and try to steal some yummies and let her jump all over him! She must have been given puppy privileges. Ahsoka thinks she's brilliant! Jedi doesn't play much so she thinks Fable is great fun. They have been tugging together and trotting around the house while Ahsoka has short out-of-crate sessions.

I could probably work it out with some basic maths, but maths was never a strong point How long does it take you to complete each section at the set pace? Can you get a gadget for your bike which tells you your speed and distance? Are they expensive? What sort of bike do you need to complete this? Do you just have your normal lead in your left hand? Yep, you can. They are not expensive (some as cheap as $30 or less). You can get your local bike shop to fit it for you (or a handy person!). You can use any bike as long as it's suitable for off-road stuff so I wouldn't be using a road bike. Just any mountain bike or hybrid bike would be fine. Yep, you just carry the lead in your left hand. You can't use anything like a Walky Dog for the test, but they are useful for training. One of the dogs at our ET had a temp of 41 degrees after the first leg. They waited for it to go down - it did - so he was allowed to continue.
