  1. I've had problems with the BD treat pouches too. Same problems with the hinges.
  2. Yeah, she definitely is still growing! She's starting to fill out a bit now though which is good!
  3. I'm not going (again)... Like others, I will think about it when it's moved.
  4. Here's some more for you then We're due to take another one of these this week! She is definitely as tall as Soaks now and if not, slightly taller!!!
  5. Jedi and I have been busy training and having a ball! He seems to be able to compensate for my stuff ups Last night our trainer started talking about when we will have our first trial!!!! ;) Scary!
  6. Wow, it's been a while since I posted some photos of the not-so-little girl! Here she is... 20 weeks And now 24 weeks...
  7. Last time it was Bellatrix and her pretty Kelly Bags. Grrr Yep... I feel like asking Santa for Kelly Moore bag for christmas I may be selling mine. I love looking at it but I never use it Which one do you have?! Let me know if you are thinking of selling - I might be interested! I have a 5MDH and a 6MDH... They're great bags, but I want something a little more stylish for certain occasions.
  8. Most of the shots done with a LB make my head spin....
  9. I use a rock climbing chalk bag attached to my belt loop with a carabiner (treats inside a zip lock bag). Can't say that it was a very cheap option though, but I love to carry STACKS of treats and it's easy access for my large hands!
  10. Edited Still got a few trials before the end of the year though. You've done really well!!!!!!

  12. Thanks Lappiemum and TerraNik. How often do you check? If I lived in a tick area, I would check every day. (Yep, that's a minimum of 6 hours of checking if I were to do it myself with my gang!) As it stands I don't live in a major tick area, so I only check them if it's tick season (or around tick season) and we have taken them somewhere that does have a history of having ticks. Also we always closely observe our dogs to make sure they are not showing any signs of tick poisoning.
  13. As I mentioned in an earlier post, checking for a tick on a long coated breed (if you want to do it properly) requires at least 1-2 hours (for me, I take 3 hours because I like to double check) of meticulously going through the coat with a comb and line brushing to check every-single-bit-of-skin. This is the same for getting out grass seeds. I'm sure there are people out there who just have a feel over their dog and think it's good enough, but for me I like to make sure. Newcastle has ticks but some areas are worse than others (same as in Sydney). It's been years since I lived there, so things might've changed since then.
  14. I have found it to be okay, of course I haven't been able to do as much work with Abby as I would've liked and for that reason I don't think she has reached her potential. Basically what I have had to do with Abby is be VERY organised and know exactly what I want to train when I have access to her so that I don't waste any sessions. Woofen is also very generous and lets Abby stay with us for the week before each trial to tweak things, so that has been a great help.
  15. Absolutely! Or, put her away and watch the rest of the class. The instructor should give you credit for advocating for your dog. Many of us (if not most) don't do classes because they are so long and it's a great way to ruin a dog's enthusiasm. I train in 2-5 minute intervals most of the time (the only exception being stays). I want my dogs to be wanting more when I have finished a session.
  16. 3 November Not long to go!!! Fable looks SO out of place in baby... It can't come soon enough!
  17. Yeah having a food driven dog makes life a lot easier! Unfortunately for us, Fable couldn't give a flying piece of fur about food which is fine for her other training, but in the ring is very limiting in how you can bait her! I have been known to bait her with a rock that she was playing with before we went in the ring
  18. You should've seen her sister's display on Saturday morning... She was aptly named "the loud one" by the judge. She would.not.stop.BARKING!!!!!!!!! And instead of gaiting around the ring decided that she would try and see if she could go visit every single dog she saw that was walking outside the ring! I'm sure it can't get much worse than that
  19. Our club is starting classes for Rally O in Sydney as well early next year... Shell and I are helping to get it up and running
  20. Yes. There are both finishes in Rally depending on which they have chosen to use on the sign.
