Yeah, I think I can't be picky with Soaks this year... It will all depend on her season. -

Yep, the ET is something that you only need to do once to be eligible for the title. You could do it again if you really wanted to! There's nothing stopping you from doing an ET once you have your title, so long as the dog is fit and healthy, meets the vet requirements and the age requirements. At our ET all the dogs passed and from what I've heard from others it is usually only one or two dogs that don't get through - usually all pass. The reasons would be several from not passing the vetting throughout any point of the test, inadequate training so that the dog cannot keep up with the group or a dog becoming lame during the test. Or even someone's bike breaking and not having a replacement for it or it not being able to be repaired. -
I'm so excited about this project! Time to think of some ideas!

It is illegal here, too if you are on the roads. Just keep that in mind while you are training. I only ever train in parks. If you are in Sydney, just on that note - Centennial Park in the city do not allow you to ride with your dog, so don't train there. -
I guess it depends who you ask! There have been a few rotten apples that I've met particularly when I was new to showing, but since then I've found an awesome amount of people who are more than willing to help.

But it's a really boring course Sale's ET is around a lake and through beautiful parkland. Plus, it was less than 10 degrees for the entire ET. -

If Jedi can do it, Moo can do it!! I'm not sure - I'm definitely not doing Sydney - boring course and too warm. Canberra is an option, but their ET starts late in the day (10am/1030am), so I'm not too keen on that. I would love to go back to Victoria (East Sale) to do it - it was really cold, we started early in the morning and the course is beautiful. The only problem is the little miss might be in season then :D We'll see. -

It really doesn't feel very far at the time, mostly because it's so broken up and you're concentrating on keeping the right pace and making sure you're dog is ok. Yes they can wear a harness. "The dog must wear a fixed collar or suitable harness. No neck chains, slip collars, spiked collars, muzzles or head control collars shall be permitted" -
Jedi handstands... We're still working on him doing the walking handstand... It's not really a priority right now!

Emergency Vet Numbers In Sydney?
TerraNik replied to openarms's topic in Health / Nutrition / Grooming
I go to ACCES but it's in North Ryde - perhaps you could call them and ask what the closest emergency vet to you is? They might know. 9888 9800 http://www.vetspecialist.com.au/acces1.html -
Absolutely!

Yeah I'm still debating about whether to do P365 again or whether to do 52 weeks or do nothing at all... Decisions, decisions! Me too! 365 Days seems like such a huge effort though. I finished a P365 in 2009 - I didn't find it too taxing. I started another this year and I didn't get through - life just got in the way (uni workload increased a ton!) and I was stumped for inspiration and hated most of the shots I was putting up. I think I will try again, but I want to make it about capturing moments and not necessarily about perfection. We'll see. I will also be doing a 52 Weeks of Fuzz (Jedi & Ahsoka together). I'll put up the link as soon as I start next week. I will also be doing calendar weeks.

Jedi caught someone breaking into my car in the middle of the night once. He was making a fuss to get out of the bedroom - I thought he just wanted to go to the toilet. And then he barked his head off at the front door. I thought he was going bonkers (he usually doesn't alert at night) but when I went to my car in the morning it had been broken into. It was clear that they had been caught in the act and had left in a hurry. The great thing about living with a watchdog!
