  1. Yeah I realised when I got home but too late! It's actually my left knee that's ruining the shot.
  2. Day 005 - Treasure these moments...
  3. Are these Victorian ETs still happening? 16/04/11 WERRIBEE OBEDIENCE DOG CLUB 28/05/11 HUNGARIAN VIZSLA CLUB 05/06/11 MURRAY VALLEY OBEDIENCE DOG CLUB btw Cherry Lake for me! CC Thanks, I'll add them to the list.
  4. Love your shot, kja! Everyone is going so well!
  5. The maximum age is 7, PoodleFan. The Walky Dog is a cheaper option than the Springer... Mine was $60 from PetDirect.com.au And a cheap bike computer - $25 or so - http://www.bicyclestore.com.au/bicycle-acc.../computers.html (Have the BRI 3, but the BRI 2 would be sufficient).
  6. Jedi's really starting to get a rhythm going with his 2x2... We moved to a new location today and he didn't miss a beat.
  7. "I'm gonna get you with this hose!!!!!"
  8. I haven't this year so far... My remote is either broken or needs a new battery... I'm hoping it's just the battery! I can't wait until it's back in action though - running back and forth between the camera (literally RUNNING today to get into place in time for some of the other shots I took today!!) is not fun! You should do a selfie! Even if it's just of part of you... It's fun!
  9. Thanks I used to HATE being in front of the camera, so last year I decided to do a month of self portraits and I ended up really enjoying it! So this year... I'm going for ALL self portraits!! I figure I've done the non-selfie 365 once, a dog 365 once and so now it's time to give this a go
  10. Really like your day 3, Flick Day 004 - Peace and Quiet
  11. It's all outlined in the rules Dogs must be from 2 years to 7 years inclusive. So once they turn 8, they can no longer do the ET. There are no breed limitations so long as they are fit enough to do the test. It's obviously much harder for smaller dogs, but it is possible.
  12. Don't have time to comment on everyone's photos, but Tawny I love those droplets! And your cat, kja... Great day 3 photo, huga!
  13. Yep, if they are the padded lycra bike shorts - no knickers! You can have different people do different legs of the test... So one person do the first 8km, then another person do the next 6km and then someone else do the last 6km, so I imagine you could have someone else do the willingness test?? Not sure! The willingness test is verrrrrry casual... All the dog needs to do is walk a few paces, turn around, walk a few more paces. Sit. Stay (even if they kinda stay). Come. That's it. It's all on lead and takes about 20 seconds.
  14. No, you're spot on I would caution against getting littermates... Sometimes it works, yes, but it is a lot of work. I always go by the rule of getting 1 dog and not getting the second (or 3rd or 4th...) until the first is the type of adult you want them to be. That way the first dog can help teach the second dog the house rules and how to behave appropriately, rather than passing on their bad habits. Also keep in mind that not all breeders will let two littermates go together, so you would need to speak to some breeders to see what they're happy with. If you were to go for two littermates, you would have to spend a lot of time training them separately and you would need to watch out for behavioural issues that can happen when two littermates stay together.
