  1. maybe this with the nose targeting in the bowl? http://www.canisfilmfestival.com/09_final_10.html She already blows bubbles in a bowl... Cheeky minx probably thought she'd get treats for doing it without water!
  2. Yeah, I'd love to 'have a go' at training a basenji!! Could be fun!!
  3. Do you mean a basenji? If so then yes they can do agility. They're a hunting dog, so they need to be agile. I don't know how high they can jump, but they'd be fine for the agility jump heights. Here's a basenji doing agility:
  4. Do they have puppy runs? My girl is only 9 months - she loves to chase things but I don't want her to put too much strain on her. Otherwise I'll wait til she's older.
  5. When Jedi got desexed (yes, he's a boy, but he had an abdominal testicle, so similar wounds to Kenzie would have), the vet said I could take him to the beach the day he got his stitches out. He had removable stitches that were taken out on day 10... For dissolvable, I would assume that the wound would be healed by then and then it's just a matter of the stitches dissolving.
  6. 'A Month of Medicine' So tired.
  7. Love the first one CM! 'A Month of Medicine' Guess what I've been doing all day... Study notes.
  8. I just shaped Jedi to stack plastic bowls! I have wanted to try and shape this for MONTHS and he just never offered a mouthing behaviour until tonight (probably something to do with now knowing the dumbbell retrieve)!! He's now consistently stacking 2 bowls the same size! I'll add another bowl tomorrow and then maybe I'll buy some bowls of different sizes. I tried the same thing with Ahsoka and ended up with her nose targeting inside the bowl... She thought it was the best thing ever! I went back to working with Jedi and she consistently interrupted Jedi's stacking by planting her nose inside the bowl while Jedi was carrying it!!!! (she usually knows that it's not her turn and lies down while I'm doing things with Jedi) Who knows what I'll do with that behaviour!? Next thing I'll shape is all 4 paws in a bowl. Should be fun!
  9. Aww what a gorgeous pup!! Congratulations!
  10. That sounds nice and easy and I didn't even think of it. Will give it a go tomorrow. Thanks There's no harm in trying!! Good luck!
  11. Yay! Congratulations! That food on the ground certainly made it harder!!
  12. Jedi did this without ever training it?! I just make sure I give the cue and walk off with my right foot.
  13. Too much to even think about. Learn one thing and there's hundreds (literally) of other things I need to learn. Maybe I can try and do a photo of my head exploding?
  14. Finally got a chance to get the photos off my camera. They've been real rush jobs - I'm finding it difficult to find the time, but I refuse to fail my Project 365... The quality just sucks more than usual! 'A Month of Medicine' The Essentials of Any Med Student Tools of the Trade My Medicine
  15. Wow... I am most impressed by the dog being able to jump up that vertical wall!!!! Very cool!
  16. She got better as you went along, RS so she must be learning *something*! hehe I tend to click for the movement rather than the position because they *know* heel position, It's the back leg movement that I want. Just a thought!??!
  17. Good luck, RS! I never considered entering CCD once or twice and then going up to novice if you felt you'd do better... Certainly an idea! I don't tend to get nervous for stuff - even my first time in the show ring, I'm so blasé about everything!!
  18. Ack! I have the last two days worth of photos on the camera still!! I haven't had a chance to get them onto the computer yet. Maybe tomorrow night.
  19. Ah, I'm not the only one!! I'm considering going straight into novice for that very reason!! We'll see...
  20. I used to take my dog to David O'Hara in Hamilton South. He's got a practice attached to his house and used to board our dog when we went on holidays, too. Toby LOVED him and I can't ever having any issues with him. It was a while back though - Toby passed away about 5 years ago.
  21. Wow that's fantastic Ozjen!! I'd love to see the summersault, too! I have seen Jay Sisler's videos... Incredibly impressive!
