  1. There will be room she might not mind a co defendant oops I mean carer
  2. I am glad as I need a house sitter for 2 weeks or so next May and it wouldn't be easy finding anyone that will volunteer to stay at my house and look after my lot especially with Wolff and Azure
  3. Leo belongs to a good friend of mine and he is having a weekend visit while his owner is away, it is nice having a dog that obeys commands for once  Unlike Azure he sits still long enough to be able to take photo's of him too
  4. As far as I am aware it hasn't been an big issue with the ones over here, keeping him quiet is easy as he doesn't do much anyway. Azure was a nut and I had hers done at 6 months and the vet was really impressed with them, I will do them again at 18 months
  5. She is imported, and it was done o/s. It is quite normal o/s for it to be done especially for those working as true flock guardians in the mountains etc it would give predators less to grab hold of
  6. My gosh! Just look at that bone ! how large will he grow? I am thinking around 80 kgs maybe more, Jake was 37 inches at the shoulder but finer build. Wolff's dad (Jake's brother) has massive bone and his mum is big boned too but not as tall Dad Mum
  7. 10 weeks old and nearly as big as his new friend Leo
  8. We sell the spray and the adapters, we have had lots of positive feedback about the cat Feliway spray/adapters but we haven't had the Adaptil for very long
  9. I know the person who owned the parti and as she matured she looked lab through and through, I haven't seen brindle though. Long haired rotti's look awesome and the ones I have met have been goofballs :D
  10. Both of mine (different breeds) are on mains and co owned with their breeder, my bitch will have a litter for her breeder with an import and my dog will have semen collected as we are in different states. I paid less than pet homes but not a great deal less, mains pups are generally more as a rule I would think. I will desex my bitch when she has had her litter and will wait for my own mains bitch of the dogs breed if/when a suitable one is available as I only want one particular colour
  11. This was apparently a pure bred lab unregistered from 2 papered dogs, all other pups were black or yellow
  12. He was not as confident as our boy, still suitable for us but Wolff has a true CAS nature and will mature 70kg plus so needed to go to an experienced home, he is also co owned like Azure. Our Wolff sees new experiences boldly and confidently as if he has done it all before, the day he arrived he went to the front of Azure's kennel growled and walked straight in. When she tried to overwhelm him he stood straight up and told her off. He exerts the confidence of a 12 month old CAS and as he matures he will need someone that understands him and his place. He is also more suitable as a LGD as he doesn't react in a prey reaction. He met sheep for the first time yesterday and he walked straight up to them, stood up growled and then sniffed them and then he was fine. Once initial intros are done he accepts that is what is to be. Any new experience is met with acceptance, he has been to work with me and sits in his pen without a whimper, he comes out to toilet and then goes back in without being picked up which is amazing. He adores the boys especially Luke and is not in their face. He already is happy being outside by himself and occupies his time and then will go back to his pen and go to sleep. He has the mental maturity and behaviour of a much older dog and that will only escalate so he is learning his place from day one. It is very interesting as he acts like an adult not a puppy so he will be a very impressive adult CAS. He starts puppy school next week which will be interesting as already if he doesn't want to play he informs his partner, not in an aggressive way at all just a direct way. He would be at least 15 kg already so we will see how he goes and that will dictate whether he needs to continue. Wolff was not the puppy for a first time LGD owner as while people see his puppy nature as placid and well natured he is simply a perfect example of a young, confident CAS. As you would have seen on FB we believed from the moment Wolf one was born he was destined to be our companion but unfortunately with this breed the dogs true nature predicts home not the colour of the puppy, to say I was heartbroken would be a massive understatement but Wolff is where he was destined to be and we adore him for what he is and what he will become Azure is breathtaking she really is stunning, she is a handful and lives up to her nickname flying shark, hidden dragon. Completely different to CAS much more maintenance behaviourally but as she matures our bond grows. She is one tomorrow and that has flown by
  13. A heavy duty lgd breed living on a roof top I am not suprised it barks at other dogs, its senses would be on 24/7 with all of those things walking around all of the time
  14. Katdogs was right Kangals and Anatolians are the same now :D
  15. When I was there we had quite a few dogs that came in that we traced back to breeders including 2 entire litters of anatolians, goldies that were tattooed to a high turnover breeder, irish water spaniel, basset, breeder that had handed over an entire litter of ccr x malamutes -oops litter with atrocious temperaments, basenji's, keeshonds, goldie pups handed over with severe entropian that the breeder didn't want to euth themselves, and lots more. Statistically the figures would have been nominal but they did come in and I believe there has been an increase in purebred "type" dogs coming in but bybers are more actively breeding using purebred dogs I think. There were some shocking breed descriptions done and I am sure many dogs never made it g=home for that reason but I left in 2002
  16. white  when he was born his ear markings looked black but have faded out, his brother is a wolf sable like my ASD Azure. If anyone is confused about the above post there were 2 pups Wolf and Bear, my pup Wolff was Bear but we kept the name Wolff even though we didn't end up getting the puppy Wolf
  17. Yes not getting Wolf was very difficult and Ben was gutted but we will get a wolf sable bitch in the future if one is born. Now that I have gotten over feelings about Wolf my common sense has kicked in about the importance of temperament over appearance when it comes to them. Wolff is co owned with Lilli so she will have to import a bitch for Wolff  then I can get a Shamash pup too that is not related to the lines over here. Wolff is great with the kids and has really taken to my youngest Luke, Ben adores him too now that he is getting over the colour thing. Our home has too many variables to risk things and I know how much work sharp CAS's are and I anticipate Wolff being a very capable guardian but also have the true nature of a CAS so I am looking forward to our adventure.
