That's incredible. I love this plan. I hope people take it up! Would love to donate if you'd like to PM me who that is. What a fabulous plan! Not that you have to but here is the link to the announcement Rescue Cat Desexing

We had to have an euthanasia license so we were tested by vets so it is a skill and you are handling dangerous chemicals. Standing in that cold room, with bodies on the floor, on tables, in cat traps with a freezer full of sulo bills with animals dumped in them is not worth any extra money if that is why you do it. Killing dozens and dozens of innocent animals whose only crime was to take a breath because of the irresponsible humans that called themselves owners is one of the hardest jobs in the world. The smell is something that will stay with you forever, the waste of life is heartbreaking, us humans have a lot to answer for in our next life One thing I am really happy with is that the rescue group that I support through my shop is now going to desex the mother cat of any litters of kittens that they take in and give her back to the owner, that is a true rescue group

This has been standard for many places including the SA AWL for YEARS but lets jump on the anti RSPCA bandwaggon again, oh yes I want a job killing animals to make an extra $14 per day FFS what is wrong with people

Into Australia? Wonder how as I seem to remember from my reading of import rules that wolf hybrids were not permitted to be imported. That is what I thought but he was definitely a hybrid, it was so long ago and the details are fuzzy but there were heaps of conditions put on her she said it was a nightmare to do
-
One of my old students brought over her wolf/dog hybrid about 8 years ago and I remember her telling me how difficult it was and she had to build an enclosure. She said the temperaments were incredibly difficult, the photo made it look like a belgian shepherd cross

I only got half of it, she got the going down and the down in full frame. It was hilarious
-
You would love him Bertie :) I had to hunt MT off as she kept photo bombing  Rev Jo did a photo shoot today as we are redoing our store website and he will be on the banner with the boys and she got some awesome and some hilarious shots including one of all 3 doing a domino tumble Stock training with Marge

Wolff spent the day at our stand at the Royal Adelaide Show yesterday and he was amazing, he is such a special puppy and he made me so proud. He was so very gentle with little kids and he shared an absolutely heartwarming moment with a tiny little girl that was barely old enough to stand. It was a moment I will always remember. He weighed in at 25 kgs on his 3 month old birthdate last Tuesday which meant a 6.8kg increase in exactly 2 weeks so going by that he would weigh close to 28kg now and learning the fine art of digging with big sister Azure

My friend got BOB with her scottie Brodie, so happy for her :D

Maybe the police offcers should have confronted and bitten the dog rather than shoot at it, apparently like to like is acceptable rather than force in the other thread
-
Tralee are you suggesting that the police officers should have just started growling, barking and then just rush at the dog?

Hypothetical: Baby With Temperament Fault
casowner replied to sandgrubber's topic in General Dog Discussion
I had a bloodhound pup who was reactive, HA and a severe resource guarder by 5 months of age 2 vets refused to handle her I wanted to pts even though I had to take out a personal loan to buy her. At 9 weeks she would launch at your face for no reason and meant it. The breeder asked me to give her to another breeder in my state and he would replace the puppy, which never happened. I never gave back her papers and I am sure the local breeder would have desexed her anyway. In future I would pts -
There is no instance I would ever have my ASD or CAS off lead, they have no recall and have extreme drive. I don't care how well you think people know their dogs, once they are in drive mode it is almost impossible to recall them. Posts like yours Robbi make me fear for the future of my breeds Edited to add by drive I mean whatever they are focused on - running, playing etc not being protective. Once Azure is focused on anything she goes and there is nothing I can do to distract her, I swear she chases imaginary rainbows half of the time

 Today at work clients had their 4 month old HYPER maremma in and he was all over him, Wolff stood there until he was over it and then just collapsed on top of the Maremma so that he couldn't move. No growls, no tail wag just plonk
-
Lets just say they were not amused and he was the gentlest one there

Not so little man had his first puppy pre school lesson last night and weighed in at 19.2kg at two and a half months old He was great, walked around saying hello and when he got sick of the littlies all jumping on him he just swatted them away

Great news, I'm so glad he can go home tonight
