  1. next month flushable ones are being released, a 40 pack will be $7.50-7.95 It depends how environmentally aware that you are
  2. One of my employees just gt a 4 1/2 month old pup, she went to the shop for milk and came back with a puppy. Her Irish Wolfhound & Chinese Crested were recently put down from old age and they had never been without a dog in 30 years, she came across the people with the pup who realised they had made a poor choice. She is in the suburbs and owns over 20 cats, he is an excavator and barker already  Not what I would call the most suitable LGD home but she is 100% committed, she adores my Wolff (white floofy CASD) and a lot of our residential customers have Maremma's.
  3. Yes Azure is an Anatolian, Wolff stands about 34" and would weigh well over 70kgs already . He is definitely a cuddler especially when he is muddy and wet
  4. It feels like yesterday that we took these photos when we were doing the photo shoot to make the banner for the pet shop
  5. I sell these and they are great for my muddy fluff bag, I keep it in the car and crate
  6. Today Tonight Channel 7 this evening are running a story, let's hope it is a good one Today Tonight
  7. That is a good thing, it is great that rescue cats are getting exposure. Next door had Paul Makin and a tv crew there for alf the day filming on the weekend and will air a couple of stories soon. A radio station is doing live reads there this week too and they have been getting great print media support too
  8. Bandogge come into the LGD thread you will get more responses, I have both an ASD and CASD and Lilli breeds both. CASD are not easy to get hold of and nor should they be LGD thread
  9. My boy who turned 1 year old last week my 4 year old with the kennel for size comparison
  10. The same man that posted the real estate ad of the local Riverland dog catcher insinuating how much money they get paid to whip up a public outcry, leech
  11. 1 Year ago today I got the message that I had to been waiting nearly 3 years for, my CAS puppy had been born and my Jake was an uncle. I was so overcome with emotion that I had to pull my car to the side and sat there for 10 minutes sobbing, grieving for my Jake and so very happy to finally have a part of him back in my life. My not so little puppy today on his birthday, I love my Wolff with all of my heart. Pic of my son Luke to show the size of the kennel and cave, we had the kennel custom made for Jake
  12. No it doesn't excuse her vigilante actions, trespass, theft and other behaviours she partakes in and encourages others to do the same in the name of "animal rights" "Oscars Law" is nothing more than a bunch of looney animal rights activists. Ensuring animals receive and acceptable level of care according to legislation and that they comply with planning is the job of the RSPCA and the Local Councils, not a bunch of nutters lead by Tranter. I have seen first hand the damage to a business and mental health of two targeted businesses, the online and public harassment was so intense that I feared for the mental and physical health of one of the people. Both targets were lovely people,I don't necessarily agree with how they ran their businesses but one of them has always gotten privately sourced puppies and she was almost driven 6ft under
  13. I have staff that have over 20 Pets as we are in the Pet Industry and while I am always sympathetic and if they need time I always accommodate but I don't think it is fair to put another burden on small business. One of my staff had to have 2 of her dogs put down a few weeks ago and we arranged a card and gifts and helped her through it as much as we could. Pet loss and grief are something that I understand all too well and I will always support my staff but if another leave was given you will see Employers become petist
  14. That is the one :) they got a few things wrong but at least they got some exposure, my FIL owns the building not P&K Pets that is ours lol This is a link to their fundraising page Cat Cafe
  15. Wow the kid shouldn't be playing in his own yard with mum metres away? You could see the water hose spray, the mum was literally metres away and reacted immediately so her child was fully supervised. Most kids are inside on ipads, ipods, iphones or anything other than bikes my boys spent the weekend playing forts under the marshmallow weed plants with home made wooden guns while we were working doing fencing. I asked both of my boys and one is 4 what they preferred doing and the hand made guns and weed forts won out by a mile. Any parent and child should be safe in their own front or back yard it is up to us dog owners to maintain effective control over our animals at all times, the responsibility lies with those in control of that dog...full stop. We need to stop tring to find blame in the innocent victims and stand up and take responsibility for our own reactions, that child or parent was in no way shape or form negligent
  16. When you watch that last linked video that cat did run back to the boy not just under the car but it would have been a territorial instinct, regardless what a awesome cat
  17. Well we are adopting a new cat today, my cat disliking OH has become taken with Nim a British with pedigree papers, the boys are very excited The people that have been causing issues are now making ridiculous complaints to Council about having illegal A Frames on the footpath so they gave them a warning today and said they will be watched as they don't have a permit for the sign. No other business has permits including the ones next to them but no one else was spoken to, I am writing a complaint to Council now.
  18. As of yesterday they have come to an agreement with the landlord to make it permanent! The bottom section will be cat Boarding which is great as it is close to the city and the top will be for the Cat Cafe so the boarding will help fund the rescues. We have to undertake a huge fundraising campaign to get the facility set up including perspex partitions for the cats free range areas so people will have a choice whether they want to have their coffee with or without the cats. All cats are fully vetted before going there and the building is huge 700sqm They will be having a bbq there this weekend
  19. It is because the adult cats are free to approved homes, he adoption process is exactly the same. Many SA private rescues keep the cats stacked in crates or in aviaries long term. P&C use foster homes and use the adoption shops as a location fortnightly but also do visits
  20. They have adoption shops with dogs here monthly too but when people ask my staff about wanting a dog or puppy they are referred to DogSA and rescue, first and foremost they need to research. I have offered breed clubs the space to come and do pop up breed shops but none have been interested. The biggest issue is the other private rescues complaining that their cats are being overlooked. Some have even posted rants on public fb pages one even called the P&C director a fat c%$t, they are disgraceful and only damage the name of rescue
  21. It will be a busy night as Variety have rung us and asked to use all of our Ghost Train and horror props as they are holding their annual ball with a Friday the 13th Halloween style theme, they are going to give us some of the props they make and deliver them all back to the new house
  22. If it is another rescue group they should be thoroughly ashamed of themselves, and reconsider both their motivations in doing rescue and in fact their participation in rescue altogether. I think the pop up cat cafe is a brilliant idea and you deserve lots of pats on the back for making such a clever concept work. If another rescue group is trying to block you rehoming cats, they're not a rescue group, they're just a lot of bloody-minded, sanctimonious dills. Poor cats already have enough issues without some nitwits getting their idiot jollies by trying to stop a successful and innovative idea. And now I'll stop before I say what I really think. LOL Aphra you were verbalising my feelings exactly  I said to my friends that when I got the call I did three things curse, call the Police and contact the media and the younger, more reactionary me would have cursed, drove down and cursed even louder but the only reason that I am doing it is for the animals and for that reason I behaved myself. 94 cats adopted in the last 14 days as of today
  23. We have been doing those types in our pet store every fortnight for over 2 years now and they are really successful. From all accounts today was just about standing room only and they have the entire 300sqm upstairs in their own shop. It is supposed to finish tomorrow but I am going to talk to the landlord to see if they can have at least one more week. After today it would probably be over 100 cat adoptions in just under 2 weeks
  24. The volunteers had protestors there this morning not allowing them to enter and harassing them so I called the Police but they dispersed before they got here, Channel 9 is there now doing an interview some people should be ashamed of themselves and they should educate themselves rather than behave like this. After some threats on FB last night we are pretty sure they are from another rescue group, how appalling
