  1. OT but does your contact form work on your website as I have emailed twice with no response regarding training courses you offer for my ASD pup?
  2. Oh yes my very own little fox eradicator
  3. Either way, Xmas Day is cancelled this year, PD. Back to the OP, what breed of dogs are used for the vermin control? Which is why I didn't do the DOL SS this year
  4. The police sargeant made the statement to the media where he regularly wanders off, I am unaware of many police officers making libelous statements to the media in such a stressful time
  5. Barking and LGD comes hand in hand and I know first hand the problems it can cause with neighbours, Jake's barking was a big issue for years and caused big trouble - threats etc etc For her safety and neighbourhood relations you may need to put her in that back area and have low level noise present (soft radio) as LGD's are always on guard. She is starting to reach maturity and the challenges are only going to get harder so making decisions now and following through are important. A LGD getting mixed messages from you and your partner will not help either, you both have to set clear rules and boundaries and both stick to them, inconsistency breeds anxiety and exaggerates issues :)
  6. Or in this case Kane (15 years ago) that would stick his head through the doggy door to bark at people
  7. LGD breeds require a lot of training and can be barkers, housing one in a suburban backyard where I am sure there is council dog limits just for protection is not something that I would recommend especially if the priority of the OP is to rehome littlies. Some LGD's as pups can be very excitable, my ASD pup is a maniac  Whilst LGD's do have a protective instinct they protect what they deem necessary to protect and they also decide what is a threat and what isn't. There are infrared cameras that can be bought quite cheaply that will take a photo when something passes the motion sensor. They can be mounted outside and are very reasonably priced whilst they do not offer protection as such they are great as evidence of break ins. I am getting one by our gate to capture number plates and also some others in various locations to get faces etc. You can also get fake security cameras for around $10.00 which can be a deterrent for the half hearted or nervous thief
  8. I have a 2 year old son and the thought of letting him walk around our property makes me feel ill I just can not fathom how any parent can let their child wander. The fact that this isn't wasn't a once off incident is just astonishing
  9. mm there are plenty of registered blue staffords, just look in the breeders pages I fail to see the humour. A new member has sensibly asked for advice and I congratulate them on that. OP there are some great stafford breeders here please check them out in the breed pages I am sure they will happily offer advice on their chosen breed
  10. I agree with espinays sensible advice, we are in the midst of BSL and I only see restrictions getting tightened so to protect yourself and future pet from possible heartbreak seek a puppy that has been registered by a breeder so that you have traceable proof of their lineage :) Good luck and keep us updated
  11. Hi Tim to help out more how tall is the dog? Also do you have a standing pic that you can put up? Is the dog yours and if so where did he/she come from? The dog has a lovely face no matter the actual breed :)
  12. It is the same, I wonder when pet retailers will be able to sell Combantrim and head lice treatment?
  13. That's beautiful. Do you need to change your DOL username again now? I am thinking about it  we will *fingers crossed* be getting another central asian next year so maybe..... casana
  14. Which is why I won't stock it especially as those that have issues are generally responded to in not what I would consider helpful manner I have Earthborn Holistic and the grain free seems very good......so far
  15. That is awesome news :D Having a breeder that you can trust makes a huge difference, can't wait for pics We received our puppy last week from lilli, a beautiful wolf sable anatolian pup, Azure. It has been over 2 years since losing our CAO Jake and over 1 since losing my pom cross girl Shannon. Azure is a DOL pup too and will be an introduction into showing however she will be handled by another capable DOLer  Azure with Luke
  16. Ok I thought you meant the bonus bags, we can get in the breeder ones too but there is a minimum order to buy direct from Advance and many franchise stores are allocated their products so ordering in may be difficult for them. Liz is right email Advance and tell them your closest store and they may be able to work something out :)
  17. Is this another veiled thread at those border collies?
  18. They are now 18kg, not 20kg (bonus bags) I sell mine for $103.50 but shops have huge overheads with high rents, wages etc to be honest premium food does not have massive mark ups compared to other items but I have not seen them for $130.00 before.
  19. Lilli is in Victoria I am hoping to get another CAO pup when she has a litter in the meantime I am getting one of her anatolian pups in a couple of weeks
  20. Kazzza can you post a pic of her :)
  21. P&C Adoption Paws and Claws Adoptions had 12 week old kelpie pups, they are in Adelaide
  22. Paws & Claws facebook Contact Paws and Claws adoptions in SA they rehomed a 10 month old last week but may have others coming up,
  23. I am getting a pup in a couple of weeks and didn't even ask  I was too excited to be getting a pup to even ask. By the way my pup is absolutely AMAZING
  24. We have dorper crosses and the mortality rate of hand reared new borns has diminished greatly with the profilac/protexin combo. Wombaroo Impact (colostrum) is a very handy thing to have too. I am getting an asd pup soon so I will be overloading on ldg pup and other animal pics soon
  25. I lost Jake less than 2 weeks before Luke was born, our new puppy is 3 weeks old and Luke will be 2 on October 15th. I have been desperate for a CAO pup but fate has intervened and to be honest I do not think I could have committed to having a baby (my 2nd child, my other son is 10 on Wed) and a pup that requires a lot of training/socialisation. Each to their own but you have been ill with morning sickness, grieving for your loss and are starting a new family, each of them on their own is a huge change in your life. Saying that I am getting 2 or 3 new horses and a puppy in a 2 week period soon  Luke has also never slept a full night since he was born - puppy - baby - sleep deprivation = grey hair and IBS (irritable bitch syndrome)
