If they are blaming the person that I am thinking they are then that is disgusting as far as I am aware she had nothing to do with the current complaints at all someone else did and it involved their own animal purchased from Moorook. To be honest I am ashamed and disgusted that people involved in rescue and politics have stooped to the level of trying to harass, intimidate and defame innocent people or people asking justified questions. Regardless of what people think others have done and who they think have personal vendetta's against any shelter to constantly bring their name up and threaten them is vile and certainly tarnishes my opinion of rescue. If I was anyone involved in the Moorook saga I would be much more concerned about ensuring that every animal in care is kept in the best conditions possible, have the best medical and environmental enrichment possible and are found the best homes possible. Focus should always be on the animal, not ego's and not personal notority. People need to remember why they are involved in rescue is it for the animals or themselves?

I am totally bewildered that people are complaining that the RSPCA have acted on alleged cruelty, Mark admitted yesterday that there was at least 2 inspections last year so there is a history of allegations as they don't just decide to drive for a few hours and do random inspections on places. There is a new CEO and he is acting during his tenure isn't that a good thing? Maybe they didn't act properly in the past about Moorook or Freedom or anywhere else but does that mean they should get slammed for doing it now? I don't know the shelter from personal experience but I have seen the way complaints get handled from them such as the thread a few years ago. The court case will decide whether charges are justified but if other rescues change for the better because of it isn't that a good thing? The publicity circus has been created by one person, a person that says that he has been involved with that shelter for years and if that is the case why didn't he push for working bees/changes back then or are those conditions acceptable in his eyes? Many have seen the photo's and from what I have seen they are not what I deem acceptable and this person runs his own rescue which makes me consider what he deems ok for natives Yes Lola is now the victim but if the stories are true then the animals have been victims for years, only the court system will decide Moorook's fate and the voters will decide Mark's. If LOla is innocent then she has been put through hell, an exaggerated hell because some of her supporters and only time will tell but at least conditions are getting improved and that can only benefit the animals

No I am not of the breeders are spawn rescue ilk, actually I find that amusing when inferring I would be one of them. I am looking at what the definition would be if a code was put together that included shelters and rescues but not registered breeders, what I am trying to ask is what makes the two different? What is a shelter or rescue group including foster caring? SA laws are currently minimal to non existant when it comes to shelters and rescues and I am wondering what defines them

Willow wood has natives, natives which EVERY animal would need to be on permit or have a rescue permit. He has posted photo's of animals requiring "treatment" on the WW page so my guess is someone questioned his permit status dunno but that is all I can think of. RSPCA would only intervene if NP&WS asked them too but who knows what really happens in his world

I am needing to know what people's definition of a rescue or shelter is in a clear definition. What also separates a breeder that takes in their own breed as a rescue too. Any opinions are gratefully received and I would appreciate as much detail as possible

I support Paws & Claws Adoptions in many ways, I am impressed by their ethics and the fact that all vet work is done. I have had experience with other groups and lets say that I became quite jaded. It is sad that I believe that many rescue animals need to be rescued from rescue I am proud to say that I put my money, mouth and reputation on what I believe and I think rescue in SA has a long way to go before it can be considered what I believe rescue is
