    Evie

It's terribly sad but i'm another that thinks you did all you could. I'm sure Evie is looking down on you with only love thanking who-ever makes these decisions that she had you and your family for two wonderful years instead of someone that would have given up without a fight. RIP Evie.
  8. x2 Hugs to you ridgeback-lover. Just devastating. Hope your ex is OK aswell.
  9. why do long distance when hands on and practical training is available? I think your trainer is not the right one for you and your dog. Contact Mark. Yep agree completely. Steve from K9 force is a great trainer but why do a distance course when there is someone equally good available to you that can show you practically (best way for me to learn personally) what might work?
  10. Justice Shades has used Mark Singer. Her experience with him is in this thread -> http://www.dolforums.com.au/index.php?show...30&start=30 I think Cassie has also used Mark.
  11. I think you might have to definitely train them seperately but i'm sure your housemate will be able to help you with this. They're only little at the moment so it might take a little while longer for them to learn their names. Might be why they are not coming to their names yet. You might also want to limit your training sessions at the moment while they are still young otherwise they may get bored and not be able to focus. With Bomber i found clicker training & positive reinforcement to be the best thing for him but all dogs are different.

    Boxer

In regards to early and regular socialising what would this entail? What would you suggest for owners to do and starting at what age, to make sure their boxer is a well adjusted adult?
  13. Also a fan of happy paws treats here too! To be honest i use just about anything for training treats. Bom's most favourite is roast chicken but i also use cheese, polish sausage, meatloaf, schmako's stick thingo's (can't think of the name!), ham, liver cooked in the frying pan is another favourite. Anything that's soft that i can cut into smaller pieces generally gets chucked into the treat bag. ;)
  14. Me and Bom. He looks great. Me not so much
  15. Oh Robyn I'm so sorry to hear this. Your tribute is beautiful. You did a wonderful thing, rescuing Jack and i'm sure it was more than appreciated by him. He seemed like such a gentlemanly, happy soul when i met him. ;) RIP Jack

    Snoopy

Gosh how sad. I really feel for you smisch. :p Snoopy looked like a gorgeous little dog. :D

    Pointer

I would say that this is about right for an average pointer. Some will need more, some will need less. If you were to offer some mental stimulation of some sort (i'm thinking a few blocks of training, kongs, or treat balls, fetch, games, etc) would that lessen the amount of walks or runs that your pointer would require? Or should they be in conjunction with each other?
  18. What council area are they in Teebs? I found the exact information that Jaxx's buddy posted on my councils website maybe they can check theirs?
  19. When you change her over from chicken and rice to biscuits you have to do it gradually. I used to go 3/4 chicken and rice with 1/4 biscuits, then half and half then so on. If you just give her a few biscuits in the chicken and rice one meal and then switch her completely back to biscuits you could upset her stomach again. You might already be doing this? Have you gone to the vets? It seems like an awful long time to have runny poos the poor love. She isn't maybe getting into something that doesn't agree with her? Tell me about over boiling chicken and rice! It can get so annoying. We had the added problem where Bom would just turn his nose up at normal food because he wanted chicken and rice all the time

    Tyson

Pandii my heart is breaking for you. Just as your mum said, run free Ty
  21. Hi Bobchic, If you pop onto the health/nutrition/grooming forum and do a search lots of info about luxating patellas (i'm guessing this is what you mean?) will come up. I've found two threads that may be relevant to you. http://www.dolforums.com.au/index.php?show...xating+Patellas http://www.dolforums.com.au/index.php?show...xating+Patellas You have one cute puppy there. Best of luck with her.
  22. If you do change her dry food make sure to change her over gradually. I hope the second opinion you get is a better diagnosis.
  23. Yeah i will definitely get it done at a framers. I see your in Adelaide Rubiton, can you recommend any good framers in Adelaide that i should go to, to have it done?
  24. I really don't want to lose the edge because theres a tiny bit of a shooting star (that's what we speculate it to be anyway) at the top and it looks cool! It's about 1 metre square. The box frame sounds like a good idea. Wasn't sure if they could do it in a conventional frame with glass etc. Me thinks i'm just going to have to go into a framers and show my utter stupidity with these things.
  25. I too thought that was interesting. Melbomb how big is the image/canvas? I'd have it stretched on a frame. Was it printed with any sort of border? I didn't have it printed it was given to me already printed. It's not of a photo i have taken myself. I thought it abit different that it wasn't mounted in some way but i got it cheaply because the photographer is my bosses mate. There's no border on it hence why i am not liking the idea of having it stretched on a wooden frame. Would i lose some of the picture if i choose to do it that way? The acrylic sounds interesting. I just didn't want to go into a framers without knowing how i wanted it done. Thought i might look abit silly if i did. Thanks guys
