  1. Thank you for that and I understand now about the all breeds part........but still a change would be nice. I agree, I too would love to see some Judges from the UK officiating! Perhaps travel expenses may play a role too... Dr T Jakkel from Hungary only judged at the Royal Melbourne Show in 2006, so I presume he will not be judging the same Groups as he did on that occasion. Royal Show Judges tend to re-appear quite frequently, one of the Canadian judges who officiated last year at the Melbourne Royal Show, also judged at Sydney Royal Show in recent years as well.
  2. Warmest Congratulations to you both CC and BB on the great success you are having with the very beautiful Ziggy! I am so thrilled for you both, this is just wonderful news, and very well deserved! Outstanding in such a strong entry, under an International Judge! What did I tell you?!!! Definately his year indeed... He must be knocking on the door where that Grand Championship is concerned!!! :D
  3. Mine is still the jacket I was awarded for Best Of Breed at the Royal Melbourne Show... This Show always attracts the greatest number of entries in our Breed, and I am still very proud to have achieved so highly amongst such a strong entry! A special momento of a very special win for me... I have also found the alarm clock that I won for a Group award extremely useful, the dozens of towels I have won are also well utilised and Breed related items are always a special memory of a win. But most of all, Cash - what better prize?!
  4. Thank you very much Spikes' and BB on your very kind offer of assistance, I really appreciate it! I really look forward to you both meeting my weee bundle of joy! Let's hope that the Member's Competitions will re-commence soon! Perhaps we can all see Joan together to plead our case!
  5. Hmmmm, I do believe you have a photographer friend who can fix the lack of pics problem if you bring him to ADI!!!! Ohhhh, that would be absolutely fantastic Bilbo!!! I know that you are always kept extremely busy with your 'prior engagements' and you do handle beautifully, so if you have the opportunity that would be wonderful, and I thank you very much for your kind offer! He will definately be in attendance at ADI on Saturday! He will be the one trying out for Australian Idol... The voice on this young man is EXTREME!!!! Perhaps him and Berry could go on a play date together?! Good Afternoon Spikes - I agree with you entirely in relation to the Members Competitions at Bulla... They are always a very enoyable, relaxed and social occasion and provide valuable experience for Trainee Judges. Ohhh Caber, such a beautiful young man! I always enjoy seeing him at these Shows! I only hope that they continue in the near future. My puppy is named 'Llancarfan Hot Shot' and at this stage we are calling him by the name of 'Guinness'. Ikon and him have become the best of friends and enjoy each other's company, although Ikon is gradually losing tail feathering and coat to the terror of persistent baby teeth! BB - I have not seen any of the Members Competitions that are traditionally held at KCC Park gazetted at this early stage either. Perhaps once the cooler months arrive, they will start holding them again? You sure are right about the colour, great to have a change! I bet that you can easily tell Radar from the pack! ;) I keep forgetting that I will now need a handler for the Challenge Lineup as both of my dogs are ummmm young men, so if I could politely ask one of you ladies to assist when puppy comes of age, I would be most appreciative! ;) Really look forward to seeing you all this coming Saturday! :D
  6. Received my number!!!! Yay cant wait! At last glance it said it was going to be 23 degrees on Saturday so hopefully this holds!!! Look forward to seeing many of you there!
  7. Warmest Congratulations to you Capanash on your BIG, BIG win!!! So thrilled for you, wonderful news indeed!!! Sounds like you guys had an awesome time! Congratulations also to you Morsha on your Runner-Up win!
  8. Thank you very much Lappie and Bilbo for the information... This would be a great disappointment if these were not to go ahead. These were well attended over the wintery months. I suspect the poor turn out in December was largely due to the warmer weather and festive season alone... I did get my baby boy thankyou Spikes, and he is absolutely beautiful in every regard! Cant wait for you to meet him! Missymoo and Weisnjac, he is a German Spitz (Mittel) bred by the same Kennel as my Grand Champion dog, Ikon. Only this time, this puppy is black in colour! Weis, those Wirey Gundogs are still my first love, and hopefully when I am more 'real estate' enabled I may just get another!! Lappie - I always considered myself a 'reasonable' handler, but I may very well need assistance with this one, he is confidence, exuberence and a live wire in a very small package!!! Unfortunately no piccies at this early stage, seems my ankles and fingers are more exciting then 'showing' for the camera!!! Ouch those tiny teeth...!
  9. Good Afternoon! Does anyone happen to know when the Members Competitions held at Bulla re-commence for the year? I have recently been blessed with a beautiful 8 week old baby puppy, and this would be great practice for him when his time comes to enter the ring. So many thanks!
  10. Such a gorgeous girl...! I was very fortunate enough to have met her myself last Friday evening, such a pretty head and ears! Congratulations on winning Baby Of Breed, I am only so sorry that I missed her debut!
  11. Warmest Congratulations to you both BB And CC! Beautiful photograph indeed! I am so thrilled for you both, he truly is a very beautiful dog... (as is his litter brother!) This is going to his year, I can feel it!
  12. So wonderful to hear of this Club working together to ensure a facility that will benefit the comfort of all involved... Bendigo and Eaglehawk Kennel Club's... You Rock!!!!! Having been to these Shows last year the facility is EXCELLENT!!!! Large, spacious, cool and very clean!!! So I recommend you all place your entries and support these Clubs!!!!
  13. Rest In Peace beautiful dogs... My thoughts are with you both Mal and Faye at this very difficult time, absolutely devastating news indeed...
  14. Congratulations on taking the initiative The Hungarian Vizsla Club Of Victoria holds an Endurance Test each year at KCC Park during May. As someone whom has been a Committee Member in years gone by and has assited at the Event, it has always been a very enjoyable experience In the past this Club has offered free drinks and muffins to each competitor at each interval where every dog is checked by a Vet for standing heart rate, temperature and pad condition. On successful completion of the Endurance Test each competitor is awarded a lovely Sash, and has in the past been treated to a free sausage sizzle Be prepared to begin very early.... I have fond memories of beginning very early on in the dark, and if you wish to compete and are wishing to ride a bicycle PLEASE ensure that you remember to pack your helmet, as you will not be able to compete if you are not wearing a helmet during the event. If anyone wants anymore information in relation to the above please contact me, and I can provide you with the details of the very friendly and helpful Committee of this Club...
