  1. yesterdays~ "& then there were 3" and today's No rain - but it was my morning to water~ "ginger leaves"
  2. They are great Ruthless! Sigh - I wish I had a decent camera! Anyway, here's mine from today and this is my mood. Woke up to find we were one of 10 local cars who had 2 tyres slashed. At least we didn't cop a windsceen as well. Why can't kiddies today have hobbies, or something!? These are Chinese Blue somethings (name escapes me)~ and Hydrangea Blue~
  3. is that an orchid? what kind? I'm reading "The Orchid Thief" atm and I had to search for more pics online (specifically the ghost) to see what the obsession is all about, very interesting book - lucky I'm a black thumb or I might be tempted, saw the movie a few years ago "Adaptation" - it's quite different It's a Phalaenopsis Orchid (Moth Orchid) and they are great as they flower for about 3 months, then you cut the stem down, and in a few more months another spike (should) develop. It's just a matter of finding the perfect position inside ... then you are set. Good luck with your 708 pics!
  4. It is a Weeping Elm which is in much better condition than it was this time last year - then it was riddled with Elm Beetles.
  5. Is this challenge by invite only, or can a novice with a crappy camera join in? I've got 4 days out of 7 so far, and have been a bit apprehensive to post upon seeing all the great photos, cameras and techniques used here; but they have inspired me to a. take pictures of things other than the dog, and b. aspire to one day own a decent camera!
