Hello I Am Don Burke, Yeah Right!

look lots of people have told you they have tried, please give it up or you will start to look like a blinkered DB supporter. what you are saying is based on no knowledge and some of us have lots of knowledge about this person. if people have said they have tried then they need to be shown some respect not told they havent done it right. -

he has the power cause he controls what goes to air. you are assuming that something good can come out of an interaction with him. i think your premise is incorrect -
it could be a contact allergy. you could try the following - anti histamines (works with my dog) - bath the sore spots in calundula tea. - get a cortisone cream from the vet, i got one that has a local anesthetic in it to ease the itching - make sure there is no ivy or wandering dew in your yard and if there is get rid of it. - it also might be a grass allergy so maybe keep her off the grass and see if that helps

you did the right thing at the right time and helped the way many of us wished we could. no one expected this outcome and the posters you put up were an important part of looking for Magnus and if he had been found then your poster would have been a key to that happening. you did good -
Keep The Light Shining For Jed - Previous 9pm Tonight
Jaxx'sBuddy replied to wolfgirl's topic in General Dog Discussion
TSD some people have said the same thing i think because it was a fire that caused Jed's problem and lighting a candle seemed a bit ironic. most people are doing what they feel comfortable with. Yes, I did consider that originally but, as others have intimated, it is such a strong symbol of hope and remembrance. Now that I think about it, perhaps it was more that I have never met Jed and did not want to offend her close friends and family. i am with you on that one. i too felt uncomfortable but then i thought of what happened when my best friend died and i remembered that i was thankful that so many people cared about her. -

Jed has no clue of what has happened and is under heavy - very heavy sedation. She has no idea anyone is even with her . The family are covering that side of things. txs Steve, thats what i thought. my sincerest support to those who are dealing with this side of this tragedy. -

i am a bit worried to ask this but does Jed fully know/understand what has happened? and if she doesn't is there a councellor that can be on standby to assist both Jed and the people who are explaining the situation to her? is this appropriate and or something the hospital can organise? just thinking out loud because we have all of our faculties and are finding this hard to deal with and Jed may be unaware of what is going on. -

It will stay lit there until Jed goes home. Whilst I've never met her, she's a big part of why I enjoy this place so much and I'm devastated by what's happened to her. If anyone ever wanted to know how much she would do for her beloved dogs, she's answered that question in a way that I hope none of us ever have to emulate. I will send a card today. There will tough times ahead and I will do whatever I can for Jed. Lets hope for good news for she and Magnus. poodlefan, maybe if you dont mind, other could copy your idea? -

I was wondering about that also. Can Steve or Toohey give out the address of Caitlin (if she gives permission)? Or maybe we could send them c/- of the Dog grooming lady mentioned earlier. O.K. Probably the best address is 349 Transmitter Rd Wooroolin 4608 .This is Pacers Queensland address and it will be the quickest and easiest to pass them onto Jane when we can. Lesley and Marg are right in there and it will be easier to get them to her when she is awake. is it possible to give the cards to Caitlin so she can get some comfort knowing how many people cared about her mum? Caitlin knows whats going on and we have constant contact with her. excellent, thank you -

Please Help. My Daughter Is Terrified Of Our Dog.
Jaxx'sBuddy replied to boxerfamily's topic in General Dog Discussion
if it was me, i would temporarily remove the puppy as i would not let my child live with such a high level of stress. i would then get my child to a psychologist asap and find out what the issue is. i would tell the boys why this was happening and get them to understand why it is important for the family to follow this plan of action. if the psych said having the puppy at home would be good for the child then i would bring the dog back. if the psych said the issue would not be resolved with the puppy in the home then i would rehome the puppy back to the breeder if possible. i know this sounds harsh for the puppy but reducing my childs stress would be my focus. -
maybe get a stick and string and tie a toy to the end of it so you can gat her to chase the toy by moving the stick
