I want to purchase a double tank with heater hydrobath, consider any brand. Does anybody know of any specials happening. Many online stores do not include pricing on their site.

I am wondering if anybody uses a ray lamp and whether it would have the properties to keep a young litter warm enough when used with an open whelping box and a heating pad. I usually heat the whole room, but thought that this might be a more economical way without foregoing the benefits of warmth.

Does anyone know a company where I can buy dog trailer doors or alternatively someone may even have a retired trailer where the doors are still good. My husband is a spraypainter so he can do colour change if necessary.

Can you tell me if the shade cloth is pulled firmly or left with a slight dipping appearance?

Hi Murraydebbie. I can't visualize what you are saying, do you have a photo of that style at all? Thanks. No I don't have a photo, but the box has a raised floor made from eg shade cloth. I'm not certain how it works, but have heard people talking favourably about this style.

I dig a hole about a metre deep and have a large bucket with the bottom cut out placed in the hole. Buy a bucket with a lid. I use the chemicals you buy for human port a loo. Works a treat and doesn't smell. When the hole fills, I cover it with soil and plant a shrub, then go to the next hole. Cheap as and work great.

I am wanting to get a plan/diagram of how to make a trampoline type whelping box. I have an "ordinary" one with pig rails, but have been told the trampoline type is much better in avoiding puppies getting laid on and smothered. Can anyone help me?

She was 3 months when she came over, so I don't think that would be a cause. She has been here through our summer and winter now, so should be climatised, so I wouldn't think that this would be an issue either.

I have a 20 month old, import bitch who has not been in season that I have noticed and I have been very particular with my checking. Two of her litter sisters have had silent seasons, and would like to hear more about silent seasons and how common it is. They have already had two seasons. I have no stud dogs that could give me an indication of a silent season.

I haven't answered their emails for quite a while, thinking that they would realise that the scam had be exposed and they would give up. Persistant, ferral little creatures they are. Anyway I have now blocked any further emails now.

SUPRISE SUPRISE.... the bank has just called and the cheque has been proven to be FRAUDULENT. But this morning still got another email wanting to know why we weren't answering the emails from them. Persistant I must say!!!!

These scammers are so cunning. Even several weeks later, we are still getting emails either demanding money or making threats..... funny thing is that they never mention the item, just the overpaid money. They even phoned one day, and we think arabic sounding, they speak very little english but understand the MONEY!!!

Well silly me, yes I banked the cheque and sent an email back saying that I would have the balance waiting for them when they collected the item, after the cheque was cleared...still thinking that it was a local person who bought the item. They said that the cheque for payment would come from a work associate, so just thought it was an overseas associate. Wasn't until they started harrassing me for the balance of the cheque before it was cleared that I started to get suspicious. Even more so, whey then wanted it paid into another account in a different country And then started to play the heavy hand and said they knew where we lived and would get us, that we realised it was not just a simple sale.

I have been caught up in a scam by advertising on Dogzonline. Has anyone else had a similar problem with someone wanting to buy your item in the classifieds, sending a foreign cheque (Dublin) more than the cost (ours was almost $1100 more), then asking for the refund to go to a Dubai account? When I refused they gave me a UK account to deposit the refund. They said they were overseas, and would get a shipping company to collect it. Just curious.

My new cocker is very light roan and shows a slight yellow urine stain on her coat even after bathing. Any suggestions to remove this stain. I have tried using whitening shampoo without success, and also a tear stain remover without success. I am gathering that it must be a regular problem.

There is that saying that "Crossbreeds are healthier than pure breds". 10% food - you can give an animal the best food but if it has the wrong environment or genetics nothing will get them to an old age.

They are hardwood floors, all from original. There is even polished floors in the two bathrooms and the kitchen. My 2 main concerns, I suppose, was firstly whether the timber damaged easily and secondly whether it affects the dogs with sliding around and not have a great deal of traction. I have cockers.

We are renovating a queenslander that has the most beautiful polished floors that could be restored. Never having had polished floors before, not sure what damage dogs would do to the floor, hence our dilema.... keep the polished floors or go carpet/tiles/vinyl. Any suggestions.
