Hi all ..I have a small toy poodle 15mths old .For the last four months she has had a chronic sinus problem ..nasal smell something awfull !!!!!! Put under anaethetic and a exploratory done ..no foreign object seen ??..sinus infected ?? has been on three different antibiotics ,then a nasal swab done a month ago and staph infection diagnosed ..a different antibiotic given the last moth but still not cleared up. Sneezes less than she used to ..still reverse sneezes but only during activity. Please has anyone had this happen to their dog and did it eventually clear up ?? any suggestions welcome

She had three last time ..told her we need more this time ..hopefully she has listened

Four exciting litters so far ..more to join I would imagine soon . Know what you mean about summer babies..awful in the tropics ..ended up putting an air conditioner in the whelping room for the pups to stop them crying ..told them off LOL ..lucky they wern't born in a cave

:D Boo hoo no puppies for me ..Elle has had a phantom pregnancy or reabsorbed ..she has been so reliable with her previous several litters ..will try again on her next cycle . she is nearly 5 so maybe she wants to just be an aunty now not a mum

So glad I read this site ..had not heard of vet bed before..very quickly followed up on it and bought 4 pieces precut to my whelping box size..had two litters of toy poodles due Recived it very fast postage from" The Wolfs Den" and just in time for Whelping ..looks and feels great..lot easier than cutting up old Quilts

Whoops I posted before in the wrong spot My second litter has been safely whelped into my lap Jessica had four babies this time..usually has three..trying to keep up with Gypsy !! Three little boys & 1 girl this time Nine beautiful puppies from two little girls & all well..feel privalaged

My second litter has just arrived safely..In my lap of course 3 boys and 1 girl..First time my Jessica has had four puppies ..think she was trying to catch up with Gypsy. Feeling very lucky to have nine beautiful healthy babies born & both mums both well. Not much sleep last night..my girls all seem to be very restless for a few days..maybe the milk coming in properly. First litter all gaining weight nicely.

I also wouldn't have been concerned about a mild contraction or two..my girls seem to have them a few days before delivery and like you I assume it is puppies getting in place.the last few days they also pace the floor trying to get comfortable... My girl who just delivered a few hours ago actually had her waters break two hours before the serious pushing started..have not had that happen before..but all well.first pup born dry !! My feeling is that for whatever reason the last puppy born (rigor mortis had started) had died & caused the start of other placenta's seperating . I don't think anyone could have forseen that

WOW how gorgeous are they????? And 5 (with 4 girls for you to pick from ), is that a big litter for the breed? It sounds big. Congratulations and wishing you all the best for the other litter. Thank you Spikes they are rather special..Yes five is wonderful and especially the number of girls..I have only had four before..did not expect more than three from Gypsy..she is only a little girl..first litterl & it was very hard to palpate her..no wonder her tummy was so tight

Yes they are Toy Poodles..they were both due on the 18th..Jessica usually only goes 60 days ..thought she would have been first off the mark

One litter safely delivered..in my lap My young mum proudly presented me with five !! 5 red pups..four girls & a boy..weights between 109gms & 155gms..am I hearing all you big doggies laughing I don't know where she fitted them all in but she was wonderful 4 hours from first pup to last & now calm & content>>second girl in early stages of labour so will probably be another long night

What a beautiful photo..Makes you wonder though about what your vet said about size..I have had puppies so big I have really had to haul them out..mums have just managed to get the heads out..two hours of pushing !!! yet all have survived ?? Your Ginger seemed quite capable of delivering them without help??

No Jessica't temp up slightly agin..Gypsy's down..Man I bet they are still planning to have them both together on my lap

Oh Lolap ..what a dreadful thing to happen..a breeders worse nightmare..such beautiful big puppies that just diddn't make it..I cried when i read your post. My Jessica's temp has plumeted so next 24 hrs is my anxious time..my other girls temp is stable so at least won't have two same day. Kisses for Mr Stubbs

Congratulations on a safe whelping.. 5 !!! Yah ...she sure made you wait for the little girl..kept the best for last. Have given my two preggy mums a good talking to about numbers & girl pups..would like 4 girls from each if you don't mind :D

I am imagining you running from box to box as puppies come out OMG What do you mean BOX!! ..these girls insist on whelping in my lap up on the spare bed if you don't mind..happy to go in box when it is all over
